Well if you re suggesting I spend all day under the bar, you are horribly wrong, I watch the game with intent with an eye like a stinkin eel for detail and a mind like a steel trap for memory I can recall a game like I'm singing happy birthday,  :shh

What are you on about? Bar? What the?

I asked if watched games. You said you hadn't missed one though you clearly have missed at least one because you didn't go to the Pies game because of a bit of rain. So you are watching via TV which I said so many times doesn't show you everything.

So the "stinking detail" as you call it is what the TV gives you in a limited space rather than what is going on the entire field and not people are doing off the ball or what they are doing with 2nd or 3rd efforts

That's what Griff's been giving us, 2nd, 3rd efforts, defensive acts, etc. The things Vickery are notorious for not giving us.
Well you re being pedantic, when you said watch I didn't read that as meaning in the flesh , some games I have watched live from the big screen. Note I said watched . I realise there are aspects difficult to capture on the monitor , I have a widescreen though and deliberately keep an eye out for what's happening around the contest .

When I watch stick flicks I look at the action I don't notice what colour the sheets or the decor is.
Live is much better. ;D

Club has ruined TV reputation by effectively creating another whipping boy because it's quiet obvious that the fact his old man is part of the inner sanctum he gets looked after. It's junior footy stuff.

Absolute disgrace that Ty has walked right back into the side after 1 mediocre and 1 average performance in the 2's.

and once again teachers pets don't get touched. They've lost the plot down there. Fug em

100% correct.

And was meant to work on his "defensive side", didn't do anything to suggest he improved that.

Didn't deserved a game. Lennon should be playing. Hardwick doesn't want to play a first gamer against Geelong. No faith in talent Hardwick, thinks Grigg, Petterd, Newman, Thomas, Jackson, Shane Edwards will save him  :banghead

Said last Sunday that Griffiths would be dropped because heaven forbid he had a bad game -v- the
Hawks and Vickery would be back

There in lies our problem, favourites can play multiple shockers and nothing happens

Blokes like Griffs play one bad game and out they go

 :banghead :banghead

Pathetic

Agree. A young player like Arnot gets punished but Grigg survives.

Lennon was supposed to be in the extended squad. Wasn't selected.  Need to reward players who are playing well. Hardwick isn't

Well thank goodness for that  :o

Good to know your widescreen will pick up what's going on 10-20 metres off the contest, when players are leading or chasing their opponents up the ground so they don't become the go to player. Fantastic that yours highlights who actually bothers to run and those who just jog for 10 metres and then stop.

Mine doesn't it just picks up what the camera show but hey thems the breaks  ::)

I'm gonna join the chorus here and say that I'm stunned at these changes this week. I'm seriously starting to despise Hardwick.
Drop Griff for Vickery. WTF ?
Drop the kid Arnot but leave the worst player in the AFL ( PetTard ) in the team.
 Dont' promote and pick Miles
Don't pick Lennon but leave the two softest players in the AFL ( Grigg , Houli ) in the team.
Etc , Etc. effin etc !

Just for laughs Dimwit , why don't you play PetTard on Stevie Motlop this week and see how many goals he can hand him on a platter.

I agree with dropping Arnott and Griffiths
Although Shane Edwards and Grigg must have the complete album of photos of Hardwick
How on earth these 2 get a game is a disgrace
Now on Vickery
Does not deserve to get a game on the assumption that this kid might come good one day
Guess what .he won't .complete DUD who refuses to chase when he hasn't got the ball which I might add is fairly often
His Dad is held in high regard at punt road .it seems too high .thus he gets a " saloon " run at Punt Rd
Lots of issues at the RFC

Watching behind play last week both Arnott and Griffo walking said enough for me
Both were absolutely terrible on opposition kick ins as was Lloyd
There is only so many times you can tell a player where to stand
Now they can go and stand in the twos

No one is disputing that both Griffiths & Arnott had poor games last week.

But gee one poor game and out they go.

Others you've mentioned have had multiple por games and they are still there (Grigg, Edwards S, Chaplin to name a few)

That's the issue here.

Apply the same rules for every player on the list and there wouldn't be this angst

But that would be the right thing and we can't have that

I'm actually pleased with the outs this week. Rance in for Grimes given Astbury will be required for Hawkins is an obvious selection. Vickery for Griff is an interesting one as they are different players. Vickery us a better natural forward while Griff is the better ruck. If Vickery now has the motivation to work harder defensively it could be a good move but regardless we will miss Griffs marking and roost.

Arnot was slow and seemed tired. I hope Lids give us better run. Our outside runners need to work hard this game and Miles need to be elevated and played over Tomas imo

Rumour around the traps is that Griff may make it back into the team. :shh
Not sure how or who would have pulled out.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.
