Out: Newman, Chaplin, Gordon, A. Edwards
In: Lennon, Miles (if promoted), Helbig, Batchelor

Gordon has had a taste and come back in whenever required. The other 3 are passed it.

Lennon plays forward and Batch plays back with Miles and Helbig playing midfield.

Who am I kidding, Chaplin will never be dropped unfortunately :whistle

Gordon didn't play against the Cats.

Yes he did, was subbed for your buddie Edwards just after half time  ;D
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

Don't blame WAT. Its actually more of indictment on Gordon's game.

1 mark, one kick, One free for, two free's against.

With stats like that, anyone could have been excused for thinking that he didn't start.

it makes you wonder when you analyze a players performance such as Gordon who seems to have elite running ability why another player at another club will get say 20 possies plus playing exactly the same role, what is the difference, is it delivery of the ball to them or is it just knowing the right places to be?

The Barometer - Round 9
Herald-Sun
May 12, 2014

RICHMOND

ON THE BLOCK: There will be one forced change for Saturday’s clash against Melbourne with Chris Newman out with the “old man’s injury”. Nathan Gordon could be sent back to the VFL after managing just one kick before he was subbed off against Geelong. Steven Morris made a couple of bad blues but his desperation and willingness to attack helped the Tigers get back in the game.

ON THE CUSP: Ben Lennon is poised to finally make his debut. Richmond’s VFL side also had the bye at the weekend but in their most recent encounter the first-round draft pick - who has been an emergency the past two rounds - put in another impressive display. Former Giant Anthony Miles is also a chance to play if he is promoted from the rookie list. He had 37 disposals and 12 clearances in that VFL game while Ben Griffiths (four goals), Nathan Foley and Ricky Petterd (30 disposals each) are also knocking on the door.

AL PATON’S FORECAST: The Tigers were much better against Geelong but Melbourne has also improved drastically and the Demons’ will have fond memories of their NAB Challenge win against Richmond. Their encounter last year wasn’t overly one-sided, either. But the Tigers have too much to play for - if they drop this, their season really is cooked.

In the Mix - Round 9

RICHMOND

The time may have come for prized youngster Ben Lennon to make his debut, with the Tigers looking to replace injured veteran Chris Newman. Lennon, who was recruited with pick No.12 in the 2013 NAB AFL Draft, has been in consistent form at VFL level, racking up possessions across half-back and using the ball with precision.

Ricky Petterd is also in the mix to return, while ruckman Ivan Maric is listed as a test on the club's injury list. Rookie

Anthony Miles has been the Tigers' form midfielder in the VFL and would push for selection if there was a long-term injury allowing him to be promoted to the senior list. A return date for forward Jake King (foot) is uncertain.
