we are not a chance in hell of making finals, thigs are so poor we  could well get rolled this week wont that set the hounds loose.
play as many kids as possible while maintaining  good structure and experience. if we win games doing this so be it if we lose come on down sam durdin hopefully.

Does anyone know if there are any draft concessions this year which would affect the top 10? Or is it straight 18th = Pick 1, 17th = Pick 2 etc etc?

Dont tank til round 14 or 16, then put everyone who needs it under the knife and the others in cotton wool. Once you decide to tank play the old fellers your going to retire like King and Newman, kids you want to check out, McDonut and players you want to trade like Hampson.  I think we all know this season is over but dont pull the plug early it looks bad and is bad for moral.

Sorry guys cant buy tanking or losing to get high draft picks,at all.Maybe its this sort of philosophy that contributes to a culture of mediocrity.In my opinion you try and win every game,you fight until the end.Thats what I want  to see for the rest of the season

What's the point of getting an awesome pick when we continually stuff up

in fairness our recent top 5 picks have been pretty good. than again its become pretty hard to stuff up top 5 picks nowdays.
04 nd1 deledio, 07 nd 2  cotchin, 09 nd 3  martin. 
its when we go past this point that we seem to have trouble lol. perhaps we need to ensure we get a top 3 pick just to ensure we get a quality player.

We'll probably do a left field again and get a Conca type who would go in the mid teens. Blair Hartley is a miracle worker !

We can't afford to finish that low. Our currently players need to learn to win together again. The pick will take care of itself. I used to be one to hang my hat on early picks but in the end teams like Collingwood, Sydney etc show us it really doesn't matter in the end. Its all about development and culture.

The problem is with the 6th to 22nd selected, they are just not fit enough, hungry enough or good enough.

The best 22 team selected thusfar is simply not good enough to win on a consistent basis, and none of the younger talent is forcing the selection issue from the VFL (apart from Miles).
