He was very good, worked his way into the game nicely after minimal games lately.

Don't understand the negativity from some people. Soldo was solid.

I don't see the positives. He is a total road block in any transition plays we have. Mind you there were tons of others that played that way this week.

Ryan prior to the last few weeks was better so I hope they bring him back.

Sheesh how dare you. What a negative nelly.
Good to see there is a bit of bite and objectivity in old fluffy tiger with teeth.

Only thing id disagree with is while nank is out let Soldo be the chump and take the hits and play Ryan as the second option for now.
Reckon Samson still needs 10kg and the strength and size that goes with it to play # 1 ruck.

Exactly, and he did a good job of it.

Ryan wouldn't have beaten their rucks as well as Soldo did.

Also most rucks are quite useless in the midfield, Nank is somewhat an exception but it helps that he's <200cm or generally undersized by modern standards.

Soldo stuffed well, ran hard, tackled, chased a bit and jagged a goal.

What more can you ask from a bloke playing his 2nd game of the year due to injury?

Terrible player.

I think he’s even worse than when I last noticed how terrible he was.

Just an awful waste.

No coincidence we came back into the game in the last quarter when he wasn’t playing ruck.

7 News Melbourne journalist Mitch Cleary added Richmond premiership ruckman Ivan Soldo could join Grundy in the ruck merry-go-round during the off-season.

Soldo, who drew interest from the Giants last year before ultimately remaining at Richmond, has impressed in recent weeks after being re-called to the Tigers’ senior team due to co-captain Toby Nankervis’ suspension.

The 27-year-old is contracted to Richmond until at least the end of the 2024 season.

He has actually been excellent that quarter. He hasn’t left Gawns side and was unlucky not to get a few free kicks also.  :clapping

Agree. I'm not a fan but he has been good so far today. Long way to go though.

X2. There was one avg play right at the start on the wing where Gawn got an easy tap out of the back and then he missed the ball while trying to spoil a mark. Otherwise been great on Gawn and his tap work in the middle been great too. Love seeing our mids storm through the middle.
