4 tackles in his last game...Townsend's averaging 3.1 tackles this year.... :shh

You and me both know the standard AFL -v- VFL is huge.

I hope he goes well, seriously I do, would love to be proven wrong about him

But needs to have improved a lot, a helluva alot

...and I'm saying if he brings the defensive pressure -which you clamed he was lacking in- that he displays at VFL level to the AFL he'll at least have Townsend, the bloke he's essentially replacing, covered.... :shh

Not sure about that

Townsend is an excellent set shot for goal. Moore is not. On that he certainly doesn't come close to having him covered

And on the tackling part of defensive pressure, he'd needs to be able to hurt when he tackles... will be watching with interest

Who was talking about goal kicking.....you claimed his defensive pressure was lacking, I pointed it wasn't and that *if* he brings that to the seniors he'll have Townsend  covered - i.e. in that department......:shh

btw, Townsend's goal kicking has actually been fairly ordinary of late... :shh :shh

Average. Probably suited at VFL level. Can see Coleman Jones, Balta and even Chol going right past him.

How did we all see Moore's game?

14 disp. (7k 7h) @ 79% (5 contested, 3 clangers)
6 marks ( 1 contested & 3 inside F50 )
1 tackle
4 1%ers
3 inside F50s
2 goal assists
3 frees against
3 behinds

Caddy post-game praised Moore for bringing the ball down to the ground with Riewoldt out of the game concussed.

Average game but difficult circumstances with jack going down early on putting all the focus on him from saints kps. Not a big fan of dropping young players after only 1 week, rekn u need a run of 2-3 to find your mojo but think he might be dropped for Dreamtime.

Got better as the match wore on under fairly trying circumstances....thought his game as a whole was arguably better than anything Townsend's served up in the seniors so far this year.... :shh

Looked like a rabbit in the headlights to me.
Needs to be given a string of games so he can be judged on more than a game here or there.
