Mark Stevens on Ch 7 reckons Jenkins remaining at Adelaide for $550k over 4 years is "locked and loaded".

I'd happily give him $2.5 million over four years.

But $625k/year might not be enough to move for...

I'd be filthy giving him any more than 500. Very overrated footballer. Kicks all his goals running into an open goal square.

I'm sure we could easily find an upgrade on Vickery who can also ruck a bit better -which is all Jenkins would be- for a lot cheaper than that.....in fact, I believe we already have that in the VFL....better off chucking that kind of dough at someone like Patton if we were going to....

So basically he does what Vickery does but actually kicks goals. Does he work hard up and down the ground to burn his opponent back or just go for cheapies?

Total garbage though unfortunately.

Guys like Vickery hope for cheapies over the top.

Jenkins is genuinely fast and can crumb over the top but to suggest he isn't a marking forward is ridiculous. He's kicked about 40 goals this year alone and you reckon they're all cheapies in a team that actually has a genuine small forward to do crumb work? My god some people just can't acknowledge talent when they see it.

Consider that guys like Conca, Vickery and Chaplin have all seen pay packets over $400k as well. It beggars belief...
