Rioli, Yarran travel home for family reasons

Richmond players Daniel Rioli and Chris Yarran have returned to their respective home states to attend to private family matters.

Daniel has travelled to the Northern Territory for a short period of time to be with an ill family member.

At this stage, Daniel is likely to play in this Saturday night’s clash against Fremantle in Perth, however Daniel’s priority is his family and the Club will confirm his availability to play later in the week.

Chris has travelled to Western Australia for family reasons and at this point, he is expected to return to the Club next week.

The Club fully supports both players as they spend time with their families

Usually wouldn't have an issue with this (and don't in Rioli's case) but it smells funky with Yarran. Six week injury taking 7 weeks to get down to a 4 week injury, then suddenly its TBC and now his gone home for reasons that are more vague for him than Rioli? Hope the lad and his family is alright but gee wiz

The Yarran recruitment blunder will eclipse the multitude of other blunders made by our recruiting dunces IMO. Rioli on the other hand is a success - so far.

I know you love me WAT but do you have to reply to everything I say? I know it says family reasons, I even alluded to it after the bit you highlighted, but if you don't think "family reasons" is a little more vague than "an ill family member" then...

Maybe he's gone back to work on the defensive side of his game?

There is one called Useless Loop -  the family of Brandon Ellis originate from there...

think you are reading far too much into it

Ever considered that maybe he doesn't what the world to know what the family matter is. Personally I completely understand it. Some things are not for the public domain

Rioli is different in the sense that his "Uncle" Cyril went home last week, so it's already out there that a family member is ill

I wish both blokes and their families all the best

For people who don't have instagram, Yaz posted a photo of being a proud Uncle today. Guess his flight home was to be the for the birth of his siblings baby.
