Ryan looked good in that number one ruck role with Miller backup and this was my fear we abandon it to make room for Nank because his a captain poor coaching for me.

Nankervis has really struggled in the last 2 years and his biggest downfall was the EF last year. Terrible game.

He hasn’t played well since 2021.

News that Toby Nankervis was being sent for ankle surgery after the round 4 loss would have rattled Tigers fans. The game’s big men take time to recover from ankle and foot issues, and Nankervis is certainly big.

But the co-captain showed no signs of being underdone as he had a huge impact through the middle of the ground and floating back behind the ball.

Nankervis had 11 disposals and a game-high 10 hit-outs in the first half, with Bombers duo Sam Draper and Andrew Phillips struggling to make an impact.

He’s been very ordinary all year
The mark at 4.30 isn’t as bad as you are making out
But with you on him being very ordinary since getting the captaincy

I think if we did a highlights video on his game it would really show how ordinary he was all over the ground. Sadly his form has been horrible for 2 years now since taking on the captaincy. He needs to step down from the captaincy and find form in the VFL.
