We've been working on a 2nd tall forward option since Griffiths went down. Gunston is gettable. Is 25, 3 flags and has a club desperate in need of a rebuild. They will trade Gunston, have no loyalty to their players. He won't show loyalty to them. He will come to Richmond and Hawks will let him go for the right trade 100%.

All that matter is $ and what picks we get and whether there is a bidding war for him at trade week. If those things align he will be at Richmond next year.

We need KPFs.
As such, I would not give up a first rounder for Gunston. Maybe a third rounder as they gave up Lewis and Mitchell for nothing....

Gunston is 25, i think other clubs would give picks between 12 and 25.

Maybe we give up Lennon or Ellis or picks. But Hawks will deal for a rebuild.

My beef is that his currency has dropped enormously this year. He has stunk it up big time. Has he won a game for them at all this year? Goal kicking had really gone off too.

Why would you give up a first for someone who is a front runner?

With respect, your mail on which players end up going where has been horrifically inaccurate over the years.

Why are you accurate with this mail?

You are probably right
But
I know Swans are trying to free up
salary cap
He is the obvious one to be pushed out, but you know everything

The more i think about it the more i like the deal.

Say Geelong finish 3rd its pick 16.

Pick 16 for a key fwd who is 25 and over the last 3 years averages 2.4 goals a game. Yes that was fed from a rampant hawthorn midfield but surely would still average 2 goals a game for us with our mids.

So pick 16 for a 40-50 goals per year. Jack kicks 50-60 per year.

No brainer.

As for Tippet, hes 31 next year and a mercenary. Not interested

I would love Gunston but not at the price that Hawks would want as they would be after draft picks. Reliable set shot, proven in big games and durable body, my only question would be hunger as he has already won a few. Jack, Gunston with another tall forward/ruckman surrounded by our smalls would give us a genuine flag shot. If we got another tall forward in free agency I could justify the price for Gunston though seeing it as the price for the forward line and not just one player.
