And honestly do we really want Durham? Sounds like a skinny boy. We could really use a solid mid ready to play not get squashed. If he's in our VFL team already he would probably just wait if we told him we'd rookie him in 6 months anyway.

A few of our former (2019) VFL-listed players now at other VFL clubs have nominated - Jacob Ballard, Charlie Thompson, Luke Nelson, Nathan Cooper. Bailey Lambert (son of Craig) hasn't nominated.

Nathan Freeman ... has been looked at by clubs including Richmond after his brilliant start to the season which has seen the ex-Magpie and Saint average 41 disposals in the first five rounds of the VFL season for Frankston and show his breakaway pace has returned.

The Tigers have a pick – currently at No.11 if Fremantle opens up a spot on their list to take part in the mid-season draft – after downgrading injured ruckman Ivan Soldo to the long-term injury list.

They have also been linked to 190cm utility Sam Durham, who has been playing in the Tigers' VFL side.

Would have to back our guys in with this selection. If it's Durham they might well think he has plenty of upside.

RICHMOND LOOMS AS POTENTIAL HOME FOR EX-TOP 10 PICK

Former Collingwood and St Kilda player Nathan Freeman, who has been tearing up the VFL, appears to only have one potential new home.

The Age reports Richmond is interested in picking up the injury-prone but talented midfielder.

The 25-year-old played just two AFL games after being selected with Pick 10 in the 2013 national draft, but is averaging 41 disposals early in the VFL season with Frankston.

Freeman’s pace has been on display at state league level but concerns remain over his ability to stay healthy once committing to an AFL environment and training load.

Richmond has one pick in the draft after Ivan Soldo was placed on the long-term injury list.

Pick 11: Richmond

Richmond are back in the eight but have a spot available. Ex-Pie Nathan Freeman might be the one. He was pick 10 in 2013, had many soft tissue injuries and sought a trade to St Kilda where he played two games in three years. He has been outstanding for Frankston in the VFL and he is ready to play. There was conjecture about whether he would nominate as he works as a player manager for Paul Connors but he did, which makes me think a club has committed to him. Richmond have a great record with these type of players and will back themselves. They could get a beauty.

The ex-Tigers and Crows small forward has been linked with a return to Punt Rd but also with Collingwood, which is believed to have cooled on the idea.
