After everything we’ve known and the finals on the line and our mids dish up that level of poo allowing the easiest footy out of the middle I've seen since 2017 vs St Kilda.

That sums up what is wrong with how the game is umpired now days. The Giants player had prior opportunity, got run down in the tackle and didn't dispose of it let alone dispose of it legally. That's when the free should be paid. Clear HTB. Umps should not be ignoring clear frees and waiting to pay a free from the resulting 3rd man in pile on.
