My rolling round 1 team so far post the match-sim today:

B:    Vlastuin      Tarrant       Grimes
HB:  D.Rioli         Balta         Baker
C:    McIntosh     Prestia      Pickett
HF:   Bolton        Riewoldt     Martin
F:     Cotchin        Lynch        M.Rioli
R:   Nankervis     Hopper       Taranto
Int:  Miller, Broad, Short, Ross, Graham

Emg: Cumberland, Clarke, Ryan.

Unavailable: Sonsie, Gibcus.

Assuming Lynch, Bolton, Baker, Pickett & Graham will be good to go for round 1.

The last three on the bench (Short, Ross & Graham) are the uncertain ones at the moment.

Don’t think graham will be good to go for round 1. Based on match sim, I rekn juddy clarke is a fair shout for 23rd man if not cracking the 22 all together.

Yep it amuses me too.
If they play DeKoning and i think they will Voss seems to have a lot of time for him then they could line up with 4 tall fwds.

Curnow 192/92, McKay 204/104, Silvagni 194/92, and DeKoning 203/101 fwd/ruck.  Miller will have his work cut out if they De Koning.
But to expect Nankervis to ruck against pittonet 202/104, and De Koning 202/101 is asking for trouble.

At least Miller can compete and he sure gives us options fwd and back if we want to go that way during the game.

Just got a txt message from the Club saying tickets for Round 1 are almost sold out and to upgrade from GA to a reserved seat.

Ticketek website says there's seats still available on level 4 in Q49, Q52-55 (Upper deck northern stand).

Ok, folks, Rich V Carl is selling really well. Im predicting 85-90K

If you're a Tiger member without a reserved seat, I would seriously look to upgrade.

AFL members (screenshot below), it's almost sold out (only back rows remaining), likely no walk-up on the night. I got in early as there is 10 of us and was able to get level 1.

PUBLIC RESERVE - Southern Stand (punt road end), City End (Ponsford Stand), & Olympic Stand (exc MCC members).

Only level 4 remaining. Purple areas at a guess 10K seats left. With 2 weeks till round 1 would not be surprised if they all go. As mentioned above, If you're a general admission member (without a reserved seat), monitor the seating because even if it doesn't sell out likely only back rows will be available on the night.
Right now, still can get good enough seats on level 4.

Only restricted view by either scoreboard left now according to the Ticketek website.

The league expects the last remaining tickets for the Richmond-Carlton season opener to be snapped up in the next 24 hours, hopeful of a crowd above 90,000 at the MCG.

Ticketek now saying there's still seats available up the back of Q8-9 (top deck). They're charging almost $50 for them too.

I know they're just practice matches but take out Cripps, McKay and Walsh and Carlton becomes a very ordinary side. The Swans sliced them open pretty easily at times.

I think if you took out 3 of any teams top 5 players, they’d struggle.
