Anyone with half a stuffing brain can see this kid is going well. He's the least of our small forward worries and it's pee weak that some idiots want to make a whipping boy of him.

We would be better off looking to replace all of Mansell, Green and MRJ before we talk about this kid's spot in the side. In that sense you have to hope that guys like Alger and Hotton and come on well and rotate forward/mid.

100% agree. One of just a few players on the list that can hold their head high this year. Been bloody good. And still young.

He's played 35 games, he's 20 yo and he's still learning

Not surprisingly he like every other player in the comp has bad games, he makes mistakes.. OMG can't have that let's whack him  ::) ::)

He's been  very good this season, he's continuing to improve and as others have said he's the best small forward we've got

Acknowledge he is the best of our small forwards but almost from the get go i have advocated we develop him as a winger. I still think that way.

What a mish mash of mediocrity our wingers are and here we have a kid with the pace normally ball use huge motor and will have a crack in and take a hit.

Its not about this year and likely it won't be about next year or the year after. We must find out what these kids can offer in roles they have good attributes for even if we rob peter to pay paul for awhile.

The Devils are expected to have interest in luring Tassie natives including Ryley Sanders, Colby McKercher, Seth Campbell and James Leake — all of whom are anticipated to come out of contract within the next few years.

Why would we trade out good players? We’re going to end up like Gold Coast of 8 years ago if we’re not careful

It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

Tassie will overpay for players from Tassie

Pretty simple situation really

I still don’t necessarily think that players originally from Tassie will want to go back there lol

Personally I’d rather hang on to our good young players, especially those that have pace and are seemingly not injury prone.

Sure you might get “overs” for them, but then you might use that pick (or picks) on an injury prone spud.

I personally reckon we have enough young talent and need to replace the 7 odd 30+ players who will be retiring over the next 3 years.
Our list demographics has been shot within that 23-28 year age groups by trading 4 players in the last off season. While that was the right call we definitely need to get that balance back - we won’t do that trading good 21 year olds who actually look like keepers.

Agreed HRS and kmac or whoever else rotates through the wing just don’t cut it. HRS is the biggest down hill skier I can remember seeing.

To be fair we were probably hoping Clarke could come onto the wing.

Don’t see why Short shouldn’t play there for the rest of the year and let Banks keep his role.
