Footy department needs to have a good hard look at themselves the debacle in fitness and conditioning and medical and in general. Blair and Livingstone running it taken over from Balme don't give me confidence. Standards dropped bigtime.

I've calmed down alot from last night

But just want to say the annual player sponsor dinner should be a riotous amount of fun on Tuesday night

Nine rounds in and it’s time to declare the Tigers have fallen off the proverbial cliff, as the cost of their to reboot come to the fore.

If Dusty wanted to go round again next season, based on current form, work ethic etc, what is his contract value? What is his role?
You don’t pay a guy for what he’s done in the past, he’s already been paid handsomely for those years.

If that is his general output these days, then he should retire IMO.

Rance is the only one of the big 4 who retired while on top without fans questioning if they had gone on one season too long .

Not for me. Jack was the other. Played descent football till the end. Lets not forget he played his final year without Lynch.

The issue was the club botched up the tall department drafting.

If he was to keep playing and stay I'd be playing him as a permanent forward.  Like Leigh Matthews did in his last 4 or so years

As for salary I'd say no more that $500k and that's being pretty generous

I've been questioning Dustys form for months now. From last year. He cannot be selected because if his past. Facts are he is being carried to 300, and f the past, that's wrong.. he hasn't warranted selection all year. I've never ever seen him kick the ball so bad.
Anyway I hope he turns it around to shut as all up. But I doubt it, he is  physically and mentally cooked

He is cooked thanks to Meehan. Time to move on.

A combination of high end draft picks and good selections with those draft picks will hopefully mean we are not so dependent on senior players to win games.

I’ve got no problem with him playing on. We all thought he could be plonked at ff for the last few years of his career, but we are so bad with our injuries this year that when we have done that we haven’t been able to get the ball to him.
We also need to keep some experienced winners on the list. Prestia, grimes, Graham all likely to move on. Possibly throw broad and baker in with them too and all of a sudden we lose a lot of experience and winners. Who’s gonna help with the younger guys then, hopper who can’t even get on the park?
