Another potential pick swap offered up on Sotaram AFL:

Rich 3 & 38 <---> Ess 5 & 15 ...... Bombers swap with GC and want to swap with us to draft Robey.

Our draft hand: 4, 5, 15.

What's wrong with Louis kellaway that he is touted as a potential rookie only? Is it his size at 182cm?
Had a good consistent year for Sturt's U18s but arguably doesn't have any special tricks or outstanding athletic traits when compared to his more fancied peers that catch a recruiter's eye to go inside the top 30 or 40. He has also been linked to us as F/S so he wouldn't grab the attention as much as had he been available on the open market.

Sounds like smillie is cooked.

Need to take Robey and sharp.

That’s a massive leap, however it is just another small example of how silly it would be to draft for “need” in year 2 of a rebuild rather than just taking the best available talent.

Hoping for Robey and Sharp too.

Might be an emotional overreaction but I don't think it's massive.

Missed u18 games with injury.
Cooked for entire 1st season.
Similar injury before Xmas preseason.

It's not tracking great as much as I hope he plays 350 games and wins 6 flags.

If smillie comes good sharp and smillie night be a bit clunky but that's a problem for tomorrow.

Who every club should take with its first AFL Draft pick

Dylan Bolch with Jack Jovanovski
Fox Sports
November 10th, 2025

RICHMOND

Xavier Taylor (DEF; Eastern Ranges)

The Tigers currently hold picks 3 and 4, but will likely do some bidding on Zeke Uwland, Dylan Patterson and Daniel Annable. That leaves players such as Sullivan Robey and Xavier Taylor right in the mix. Robey has bolted from the clouds as a result of an exceptional end to the Coates Talent League season but for the sake of this exercise, we’ve taken Xavier Taylor with their first selection. Taylor has been compared to two current Tigers stars in Nick Vlastuin and Nathan Broad throughout his draft year. He’s strong one-on-one, has a high footy IQ and is very versatile. Standing at 191cm, Taylor is the prototype third tall defender who can play on both talls and smalls. He’s also a good user by foot and can break the lines with his pace. Taylor was best on ground in the Coates Talent League grand final where he amassed 25 disposals and 15 marks. He put together a consistent campaign both for Vic Metro and the Eastern Ranges where he claimed the club best and fairest.

I'm hoping for Sharpie, he's been in the elite level right through junior levels. Next we should take Taylor or Robey.

Yep

I want Sharp + Robey now.

Bone fide midfielder and a mid/forward hybrid, looking for the next Dusty/Bont type.

Let’s hope the recruiters think the same.

Still think we most likely end up with Robey and Taylor which I don’t mind as Taylor looks a player to me, just prefer Sharp.

I still feel we will get a trade that’s too good not to take , it would mean we miss out on Robey . If Essendon or Melbourne offered their 2 picks in the top 10 for pick 3 would you take it. I hear from someone at another club that they are both very keen on getting CDT and Robey and will pay overs.
