Pick 33 for Young seems right

Not with what we currently have I wouldn't think. And I'm not sure it's a great idea. I'd rather take 2+3 (or 3+4, whatever) and just take the two best available.

@CalTwomey
Over the past week multiple clubs have reached out directly to Nick Daicos & to his management to gauge any interest he has in a move

2 and 3 for little nick. Who says no?

Even if he wanted out I suspect it would take more than that tbh, maybe 2+3+F1? But I also don't think I'd want him at that price. He's definitely a gun. I don't rate him as highly as the Pies fanboys (they were raging that he didn't win their own B&F lmao) but he could be a great player if Taranto and Hopper could get the pill out to him.

Pick 33 for Young seems right

Probably the best we'll get tbh although I would prefer something 5-10 picks higher simply because I'd rather not lose a physically mature and capable KPD.

If we get pick 33 for Young then WCE have paid way over and we take it and run faster than Gout Gout back to the Swinburne Centre

He's worth a 3rd rounder at best, definitely not a 2nd rounder (IMHO)

Always makes laugh how all fans overrate their players worth at trade time  ;D

Hope that's not a potshot at my outspoken opinion on this WP.

Everyone knows that 33 is effectively a 3rd rounder this year in a widely accepted weak draft. Anything less is basically giving him away - mature body, rated 7th best KPD at the end of the season etc.

The value of picks has nosedived in recent years too. Mature players with immediate impact are much more expensive, hence we cleaned up with the trades last year.

pooting on Diacos is fun but he is 22 years old and has been top3 in the brownlow for the last 3 seasons.

You'd have to pay 2,3, F1

I don’t think it was a pot shot, I think he was just being realistic!
Comparing Young to the class of player that departed us last year is just ludicrous, as is expecting anything less than a 3rd round pick regardless of how poor the draft is.

I don’t think pick 33 too far off, as key position players attract a higher price, we may have to give something back or they may package up a few late picks they won’t use. Whatever way they work it so we have enough for Kelaway works for me.
At the end of the day he’s worth as much as we can get for him

Not a pot shot at all

I don't think he is worth more than a 3rd rounder, you think he's worth more. They are collectively our differing opinions

As for my last comment

Every year people want players traded out. Players that during the course of a season have been called duds, list cloggers etc. The when trade time rolls around the same folks want high draft picks for them.

Blight is a great example. Spoken on here by quite a few as not being AFL standard but now people are questioning why didn't we try and trade and get something for him.

It’s very simple WP

If we offered up pick 33 for a player of Young’s standard , the meltdown on this forum would cause another five day outage

Thanks for clarifying.

Don't believe I would be included in the bold, personally. I was surprised Blight didn't get more chances towards the end of the year and I've never wanted to trade Young etc.

Jon Ralph says we won't be getting pick 33 for Young.

West Coast will get Dev Robertson and has a trade plan to secure Tylar Young that Richmond is happy with. Starcevich just has to stay injury free to turn a four year deal into six seasons with various trigger points which start after two seasons
