---------------------

Richmond coach Adem Yze said his side's inability to make the most of a decent first term perhaps led to the side's downfall after the quarter time break.

"The second quarter just wasn't to standard," he said.

"That's been a couple of weeks in a row where we've started OK and just didn't maximise our opportunities at the start. I think we had eight shots on goal in the first quarter and ended up with two goals. We just felt like that affected our spirit.

"We looked like we were working so hard to get our opportunities and their execution in the first quarter ... they had less chances, but made more of each one. It felt like we should've been in a better position at quarter time and whether that's affected our spirit ... our second quarter, we just lost our way."

Same type of garbage he spat out last year.

How was the accountability of himself and the other coaches? All baltaa fault eye. Take out the second quarter and we were great yeah.

2 more years of this crap coming up.

  • All up inside ya.
Not sold on him but the talent gap between the two teams is enormous.

This next block of games will be tough. More heavy losses are coming.  I’m hoping our top-end talent can play seniors together later in the season. Lalor, Taj, Armstrong, Smilie, Gibcus. Just need to get games into them.

Round 15 already. Due to injury the year has almost been a right of in getting games into kids.

Next year the real question has to be will he have the guts to play the kids as a collective and start making some hard calls.

Like this year i think we have to play as many kids as possible next year.

Vlastuin - Balta/gray - Trainor
Smillie - Gibcus/Miller - Banks/recruit

Campbell - McAuliffe - Brown
Nankervis - Taranto - Pick 2

Hotton - Faull - Lalor
Armstrong - Lynch - Algar.

Hopper - Lefau - Pick 3 - Broad - F/A

recruit 4 mids in all areas nd rookies f/a f/s. So pick 2 pick 3 and f/s kellaway, Get a mature ready to go f/a.
mature h/b with  pace skills and can defend.
1 actual wing under 24yrs.
Small and general forwards x3.
1 actual ruckman.

Imo 8 changes  should be the minimum  number of changes but knowing us and how deluded we are it will probably be lucky to be 4.
We need to use 4 or 5 nd picks id say and then utilise the F/A Rookie systems and trades as best we can.

No battlers like Ross Short, McIntosh, HRS, Sonsie, Young. Its time to do some hard yards. No doubt some will stay but we must continue to turn the list over.
No not good enough to date Green, Rioli, Colina, OH-B, Bauer, Smith and thats not even trying.
We could cut back 20 odd players and make a justifiable case for all of them.

The team above is the way forward,  not all will make it but imo it gives us our best chance to turn things around at a decent pace.
