With more VFL listed playing than  AFL it's no surprise

Most important thing to day is Gibcus get through his required minutes and Hotton get through a full game

Result today is totally irrelevant IMHO

We finally get it forward for the first time in 15 mins. Wilson hits up Bauer in the pocket. Goal!  :gotigers

Rich  4.1-25
Geel  8.8-56

Green out the centre and Flocket at full stretch takes the mark 50 out. Missing and falls short but Hotton reads it best and marks 5m out. Goal!  :gotigers

Agree WP with the first two sentences, but at VFL level we're 8th on the ladder with finals on the line. The result still matters.

True

But when we carry more VFL listed out there we are going to struggle

Half-time

Richmond   2.0     5.1-31
Geelong     4.4     8.8-56

Goals: Bauer, Hotton, Green, Wilson, George.

Scoreboard flatters us. We were a disorganised rabble for most of that 2nd qtr. Two late goals have barely kept us in it but it's going to take a major turnaround in general play to get out of this one. We're a tall short up forward. May have to move Kosi forward to give us another tall target next to Bauer and to straighten us up. Gibbo could play forward but not in his first game back on limited minutes. I'd also move Garner into the middle as bigger body. He's not a FF.

True but Geelong's VFL side is 15th and have won just 2 of their past 9 games. They're not a top 8 side at this level. We should be more competitive than the rabble of a display we are dishing up. I agree many of our VFL-listers are struggling but the likes of Scott, Wilson & El Nour for example have shown much better ability and form than they are today. Last year, we still won games despite our long injury list and dependence on VFL-listers.

Short quickly forward and Bauer marks 35 out but he's injured in the process.

Bauer carried off by the trainers.

Great! Last thing we need is another tall down  :help.
