Tigers playing Carlton, StKilda, West Coast, Adelaide, Melbourne and North Melbourne twice

13 games at the MCG
3 games at Marvel
1 home game in Hobart
1 game at Geelong
twice to Perth
twice to SA (AO and Barossa)
1 game in Sydney
0 Queensland games

That is a very favourable draw imo

Especially considering the teams we play twice. Only Adelaide I would consider as 2 garaunteed losses, every other one we have a chance to win or would even start faves potentially.

What a joke the draw is.

I know with 18 teams it can't be equitable draw.

But at the absolute minimum in the 1st 17 rounds all teams should play each other once

Then you work out the double ups

Thwt we don't play Geelong until round 24 is embarrassing

Ditto the Hawks and Footscray in rounds 19 and 20

Richmond CEO Shane Dunne said the fixture was family-friendly and highly accessible for the Tiger Army.

“We are thrilled to be playing 16 games in Melbourne this year and will be pushing for big crowds at our home games right across the season,” he said.

“The Tiger Army will be able to give us a distinct advantage in our first two home games against Gold Coast and Port Adelaide in family-friendly Saturday afternoon timeslots, and we want that momentum to continue throughout the year.

“We are really excited about our home Anzac Day Eve and Dreamtime at the ‘G fixtures against Melbourne and Essendon. These are always special nights for our Club and will be huge occasions under Friday night lights this year.

“Excitingly, after our Round 13 bye, we then travel to Hobart for our home game in Tasmania, which is followed by nine of our last 10 matches being in Victoria.

“The best way to attend these games and support our Club is to buy a membership, so I encourage all our fans to join the journey for next year.”

AFL fixture report card: Which clubs cashed in… and who got dudded in 2026 draw

Ben Waterworth, Will Faulkner and Dylan Bolch
Fox Sports
November 13th

RICHMOND

Fixture difficulty (based on double-ups): 3rd-easiest

Pros:
Overall, the Tigers have the third-easiest draw, with double-up matches against the likes of Melbourne, North Melbourne, St Kilda, West Coast Eagles. In the final 10 weeks of the season, the Tigers only have to travel interstate once. No home games at Marvel Stadium — a venue where they’ve won just one of their past 13 matches at because they’re now moving that fixture to Tassie.

Cons:
A tough start to the season, with games against Gold Coast, Fremantle (away) and the Giants (Gather Round) across their first five rounds. They also travel to Perth twice in Rounds 3 and 8. They’ll get a nice financial boost for their home game at Ninja Stadium, but they’ll have to take on back-to-back premiers Brisbane. Three prime time games, but they’re all the traditional occasions: Round 1 against Carlton, Anzac Day Eve against Melbourne and Dreamtime against Essendon. And finishing the home and away season with away trips to Adelaide and Geelong will be mightily tough, not that they’re likely to be in contention at that stage.

Grade: B+
