Votes for Round 17, Tiges vs Saints
« on: July 29, 2006, 04:37:23 PM »
Throw a dart after this disaster

3. Raines - gave milne a bath.

ummm...

2.  Richo - because he did more with one hand (4 goals) than others did with two good ones.

hmmm...

1. Johnson - only because he nullified Dal Santo and was responsible for his direct opponent unlike most of his teammates

Lids got a fair bit of footy but Gram kicked 3 goals early which hurt us while he missed his set shot. Simmo got the hitouts but they were ineffective.

3. Johnson - Wore Dal Santo like a glove and eptimosed the hard work and etic we lacked today

2. Lids - Found plenty of the ball and encouraging to see him go on more of a run

1. Raines - Absolutely love the way he plays. Non-stop hard-running, also loved it when he shoved his hand into Harvey's chest and ran off.

Thought Richo and Schulz were also pretty good up forward

3 - Johnson - for doing the job he was given. Although at the moment we end up robbing Peter to pay Paul

2 - Richo - who busted his guts again with no or little support up forward, and who also must have thought he was in some sort of time warp with the crap and did I mention crap delivery he had to put up with.

1 - Raines

Special mention to White - I thought when he went on that little twirp Milne he did ok - and at least he gave 2nd efforts

The Golden Turnup (aka Johnnie Manton Medal - this pains me it really does because I've got no doubt this kid will be a champion. But to be a champion you have to also understand that there is a time to attack but it is as equally important to DEFEND and be DEFENSIVE (ala Chris Judd) - this kid lacks in this area and he needs to address it pronto - take a bow Brett Deledio  :'( :'( :'( :'(

3 - tivendale
2- hall
1- rodan

our 3 best players by far, did all they could to ensure  the saints won by 100+

apologies to:

3- sugar
2- rainse
1- richo

the only 3 players who can walk off teh ground with their heads high

btw, deledio must learn to back his pace, take players on, and kick properly, he has been infected with the tiv virus and needs to be vaccinated quick smart.

3 times at least he could have taken a player on at around teh 50 mark and run in and kick a goal from 40 odd, but chose a safe chip kick option which he stuffed up!

Actually I forgot to mention Chaff - I reckon in the first quarter he was one of our best.

Unfortunately as the game wore on his lack of match fitness caught up with him

Funny that the person reporting in the Herald Sun actually gave Lids 1 vote.

Go Figure!!!!! :-[
