Melbourne's famous fun park was the scene of two tough challenges for a segment of Channel 7's Saturday night football coverage.
After starting at Etihad Stadium, Richmond's Jack Riewoldt and Western Bulldog Lindsay Gilbee, accompanied by their former teammates, commentators Matthew Richardson and Luke Darcy, found themselves at Luna Park.
The four contestants had to devour a menu of carnival food, including three dagwood dogs each, a tub of popcorn, a stick of fairy floss and a large cup of frozen Coke, before boarding the Pharaoh's Curse thrill ride.
Riewoldt handled it like a kid in a candy store, helped along by sneakily spitting out most of his hot dogs into a bin.
Richo and Darcy, who had gulped down the sauce-smothered hot dogs, looked green around the gills, while Gilbee took a lot of persuading to get on the ride.
A bit churned up, they then hailed a cab to Flemington for a piggyback race down the famous straight. Black Caviar or Frankel, they were not.
