Jack doing special comments on the Gold Coast v St Kilda game in Queensland. He must of travelled up there this morning. Do we allow our players interstate flights between games?

Doubt it.

You will find the broadcasters are not sending commentators interstate and they are calling from a studio.

Started last year due to COVID and they've kept doing it this year

Saves them huge $$$ apparently

BRERETON: Why don't the media call out Jack Riewoldt for studs up? And yes I will admit I am part of the media. Two times he put his foot out, full extension, with studs up, while he kick pushes his opponent. It's not a great look.

Brereton, pfffft, what about the time he king hit Tony Free 30 metres off the play from behind, (and broke his jaw) that was a good look??

“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Agree with Brereton 100%

maybe, but he has no credibility making that view.
It’s like Alan Jones calling out racism

I agree it’s not a good look but then they better clamp down on Toby Greene then because he still does it

In other contract news, Jack Riewoldt is poised to play on into a 16th season in 2022.

His agent Liam Pickering has opened discussions with the Tigers on a new deal that, once confirmed, could see the veteran become the second-most capped Tiger of all time.

Riewoldt is eight matches away from the 300 milestone, which should come later in the season.

Though his chances of reaching Kevin Bartlett’s 403-game club record remain remote, surpassing Jack Dyer on 311 would be within reach if he plays on.

Foxfooty.com.au understands discussions are at a preliminary stage but both parties have shown a willingness to continue beyond 2021.

See how he goes. Wouldn't rush.

Started strong but has faded terribly.

Jack on 360 last night said he's been well paid during his career and it's only fair that he now receives a reduced contract so the money goes to the up and comers at the Club who now deserve it more. He expects something to be sorted out soon.

Jack also said his body is feeling great. He acknowledged he hasn't found the ball as much as he would've liked in the last two weeks but like Lynch he still feels he is playing his role.

Happy for Jack to get another year on modest money.

I think we should look beyond Bachar for next year though.

That's no disrespect to Bachar who has been awesome for us.

On Sunday, this 2006 draftee joins Titus on 294 games for the Mighty Tigers.

11 goals gets him to 700.

Glad wing/ half back didn’t work out.
