As John Elliot would say..."Pigs Ar$e!!" Deledio has plenty of courage and a rising star award in his first season to prove it. The team as a whole is well off the pace at the moment.
If we traded him, he would be a star at any other club. Look at Rodan for cliff's sake. The problem is not Deledio, its remnants of the Frawley era still festering in our Tiger bellies and last night was an exorcism of epic proportions or at least the cheese squeeze of the century cleansing our souls of the green potato going to seed that was one Danny Frawley.
Now we can wipe the sweat of our brow, pull the stick out of our mouth, release the restraints and look forward to watching some of our young guns have a crack without worrying about the scoreboard. :thumbsup :thumbsup

I have exorcised the demons  :chuck.....This footbal club is clear.

Can't you just imagine the moaning and knives for Wallace and MIller that would come out if we traded him and he starred at another club  ::)

The amusing thing is even if we had drafted Franklin the result on the weekend wouldn't have been any different. He doesn't play midfield and would have frozen to death up forward as we couldn't win the ball and when we did we were continually under pressure and coughed it up.

i have 2JD, lids has been mediocre for the last 12 months, his work rate at training maybe hugh, but onfield he is lazy and plays scared. he finds it hard to break a tackle, lay a tackle , and is is too scared to take the game on.  atm, tambling is way ahead of him and in a yrs time will be miles ahead. atm foley and blingers are streaking ahead of him, not because they have more class, but because they dont play scared and are doing the hard stuff.
deledio has never had to earn or work for his spot, he has had a free ride cos of his reputation. thats been a massive problem at tigerland for yrs, its about time lids had to earn a spot

IF NORTHEY  and hart were sttill at our club there us no way we would have recruited the way we did. deledio would be elsewhere and big boys like buddy and roughhead would have been tigers

And it would not made one bit of difference on Sunday.

mr x how can you denigrate lids and players of this club the way that you do and have any thought that you are helping the tigers cause, personal trainers my eye , you can't have the sort of negative venomous thoughts running around in your head and still be a worthwhile positive personal trainer it just match up! I like the one about the old 3 knee constructions didn't help one  bit(read I could have made it to AFL but for those damn knees).  Lids needs to improve in areas of his game who doesn't , you speak like him and others aren't trying to improve themselves, if you think that then you obviously know absolutely nothing about the makeup of AFL footballers, but then again how could you. Look at lids' stats compare them against other s in afl 2 years who have been tagged all of last year and this and then see if you draw the same uneducated conclusions.

Lids needs to improve in areas of his game who doesn't ,

Agree with your comments about improvements control - I've said a number of times that the one area I reckon he needs to work on is the defensive side of his game as most young players do.

Coping with being tagged is another one and with that I would think Lids would of learnt a bloody good lesson on Sunday - Ding Ding Ling is a bloody good tagger (unfortuantely) and obviously IMHO the Geeeeelong coaches decided to tag kid heavily and as the game went on the confidence level plummeted

Lids played a bad game like everyone else did so if people are gong to advocate trading Deledio then as I said early might as well trade 'em all

And that has been Lids main problem this year and last.  He is now so heavily tagged, the poor guy can barely breathe.  And then he is up against someone far more experienced than him.  Give the kid a break.

Spot on MT. Not to mention the head clash he'd cop from Richardson most weeks. ;)

90% of our problems stem from the midfield.
