Picks 1 (Deledio) and 4 should be right to play from early 2005 as they should have the physique to be ready to go. I still won't be expecting too much from them in any case in their debut year and they'll probably need a spell back at Coburg now and then so we don't burn them out. The rest of our picks will be introduced throughout the year when the show they can physically handle AFL.

Juts looking at Ox's list of names there. Geez we're going to have a young list next year  :thumbsup.

You'd be pretty disappointed if picks 1 & 4 weren't ready to step straight into your senior side.

Deledio is earmarked universally to go at no1. I believe Miller is extremely impressed with Griffen. He seems to be a shrewd judge so I wonder if he sees something that Hawthorn & St Kilda didn't when they chose Hodge and Ball ahead of Judd.
Having said that, I don't know if he rates Griffen ahead of Deledio but have heard rumours he does.

Any 2 of Deledio, Griffen, Franklin & Tambling in the first 4 is very nice.

I've heard that too FF but I wonder if that was because for most of the year it looked like the Hawks had sown up first pick and hence Deledio.

I also think a Willets or Roughead might come into our calculations for pick 4 due to the lack of KPPs on our list.

Willets & Roughead are fine by me  MTas long as they are picked because they're seen as the best available and not the best for a certain position.
I might be wrong but I think we've erred there before when opting for crumbing forwards ahead of better players because they weren't crumbing forwards.

I wholeheartedly agree there FF and would go for the best kid available as well whatever they are. However I just have a feeling that our first 3 picks will be along the lines of a midfielder (Deledio), a KPP then ruckman (Wood or Meeson). If we trade and pick up another 2nd round pick say then we might go for another midfielder.

Good point you make FF - that is one of the reasons we have been given regarding why we picked Fiora over Pavlich - we wanted running mid-fielders.

I have it from a good mate in SA that he was talking to cameron wood today and he is a amid tiger supporter he  has a richmond key ring etc and they say that terry is interested in cameron. I would love for us to get Deledio, Tambling then wood at 20. Be a dream start
