will post my ladder predction later on, but I do feel that North will have a shocker next season.

Seem to have been hanging on with no real stars and after Laidley put a couple of their better players firmly in the shop window I think morale will be pretty low. Danerous times for them and the Dees with the competition expanding, the financial situation restricting sponsorship and draft picks at a premium.

I reckon we'll have a red hot year, luck with injuries and a lot of other teams dropping off.

I think the Dogs will come back to the pack. Of the 3 dominant teams in 2008 they are the easiest to reel in.

17-5

This could come back to haunt me  :lol

If we maintain our form from this year but simply improve against the teams who were 5th-8th then we'll go a long way to making the finals.
1-4th was pretty good and 9th-16th was good, it was 5th-8th that killed us and we play a fair few games against them in 2009

Unless we take a good step forward and a few of these other sides slide a little, I can't see us winning more than 12 games.

I assumed Carlton and interstate sides like Freo and Port at home will improve whereas North, Sydney, Saints and Pies will drop back to the pack.

ROUND 1 Richmond v Carlton MCG (N)               L
ROUND 2 Geelong v Richmond SS                      L
ROUND 3 Western Bulldogs v Richmond TD          L
ROUND 4 Richmond v Melbourne MCG                W
ROUND 5 North Melbourne v Richmond TD (N)     W
ROUND 6 Sydney v Richmond SCG                     L
RLOUND 7 Richmond v Brisbane Lions MCG          W
ROUND 8 Port Adelaide v Richmond AS               L
ROUND 9 Richmond v Essendon MCG (N)            W
ROUND 10 Fremantle v Richmond S (N)              L
ROUND 11 Richmond v Western Bulldogs TD(N)    L
SPLIT ROUND 12 Richmond v West Coast TD(N)  W
ROUND 13 St Kilda v Richmond TD (T)               W
ROUND 14 Richmond v Adelaide C (N)               L
ROUND 15 Carlton v Richmond MCG                  L
ROUND 16 Richmond v North Melbourne MCG      W
ROUND 17 Essendon v Richmond MCG               W
ROUND 18 Melbourne v Richmond MCG              W
ROUND 19 Richmond v Sydney MCG                  W
ROUND 20 Richmond v Collingwood MCG            W
ROUND 21 Richmond v Hawthorn MCG (N)           L
ROUND 22 West Coast v Richmond S (N)            W

12-10 after a tough start :-\ so it'll come down to percentage :-\.

IMO sides between 4th and 14th aren't that far away from each other so things like momentum and injuries will have a big say in where all will finish. We are still a long long way from being a real contender even if we do make the finals next year.

I've used last season's results as a guide for the win/losses for next year's games. I have taken into account improvement for our list or changing form for the other teams.

ROUND 1 Richmond v Carlton MCG (N)            W
ROUND 2 Geelong v Richmond SS                   L
ROUND 3 Western Bulldogs v Richmond TD      L
ROUND 4 Richmond v Melbourne MCG              W
ROUND 5 North Melbourne v Richmond TD (N)   L
ROUND 6 Sydney v Richmond SCG                   L
ROUND 7 Richmond v Brisbane Lions MCG        W
ROUND 8 Port Adelaide v Richmond AS            W
ROUND 9 Richmond v Essendon MCG (N)          W
ROUND 10 Fremantle v Richmond S (N)            W
ROUND 11 Richmond v Western Bulldogs TD(N)  L
SPLIT ROUND 12 Richmond v West Coast TD(N) W
ROUND 13 St Kilda v Richmond TD (T)              W
ROUND 14 Richmond v Adelaide C (N)               L
ROUND 15 Carlton v Richmond MCG                  L
ROUND 16 Richmond v North Melbourne MCG     L
ROUND 17 Essendon v Richmond MCG               W
ROUND 18 Melbourne v Richmond MCG              W
ROUND 19 Richmond v Sydney MCG                   L
ROUND 20 Richmond v Collingwood MCG            W
ROUND 21Richmond v Hawthorn MCG (N)           L
ROUND 22 West Coast v Richmond S (N)            W

12 WINS 10 LOSSES

I'm hoping we will build on last year's form and win the close games against teams such as the dogs which would increase our wins to 13 or 14. Realistically, besides Geelong, I think we could beat anyone on a good day.

TW should also be safe by the supposed round 12 decision time on his contract with, going on my predictions, 7 wins and 5 losses.

Shapes as an exciting year :)

Anyone else got a ladder prediction?

If we get 10 or more I'll make a competition out of it. Whoever gets closest at the end of the H&A season. Bonus points for Brownlow, Grand final winners, COleman, Jack Dyer, and Rising star

I've based mine on a top 4 side crashing the following year and a side outside the top 8 jumping up into the top 4 virtually every year.

1. Geelong
2. Hawthorn
3. WB
4. Carlton
5. Brisbane
6. Port
7. Sydney
8. Richmond
9. Collingwood
10. Fremantle
11. Adelaide
12. St Kilda
13. North
14. West Coast
15. Essendon
16. Melbourne

Premier: Geelong - they'll want revenge (a bit like the Tiges in 73)
Brownlow: Ablett
Coleman: Franklin
Jack Dyer Medallist: Cotchin
