Richmond, Carlton to finish 5th-6th: Mike Sheahan
« on: January 28, 2009, 07:03:01 PM »
Mike was just on 3aw on a line from Malaysia where he's following 8 Blues around.

He believes Richmond and Carlton are neck and neck and yesterday he did his predicted 2009 ladder and had both clubs vying for 5th and 6th. He has us 5th and Carlton 6th.

Mike also spoke to Bryce Gibbs and Gibbs told him privately that the Blues rate Richmond on par with them.

Mike also said there's never been a bigger hype and expectation on a round 1 clash than this one. Healy and Russell both said it all depends on whether Cousins plays as he is underdone and lacking match fitness. It also depends on what his form is like in the NAB Cup if he plays. Mike said the Blues don't expect Cuz to play for that very reason.

Well they can sumise all they want, when Cousins came back from that stint away everyone was saying he wouldn't make an impact in his first game back....... 34 or so possessions and a couple of goals later. I would actualy be more surprised if he did not play, gee do we all think the RFC coaching staff are going to come out and say he is flying and set him up for a fall. Let him come in under the radar so to speak and show them all.

Actually Sheahan was an advocate of ours last year from the start of the year, he stood up for us on many occasions in particular on "On The Couch".

If Cuz is fit he will play. Cuz does (and has done) a lot of things, but I bet he don't 'do' Coburg.

LOL, can just visualise the 8 Blues going into a nudey bar, getting a lap dance and Millhouse Sheahan sitting next to them watching intently with his notepad taking notes.

As Terry says, he's 1 of 45. He'll do Coburg as well as anyone IF he's not performing.

I have something to report.
Over here in the west,Perths answer to tony shaw a mr karl langdon has just said we will finish BOTTOM 4.This was on 6prs morning sports program.
I think this is fantastic news as the opposite of what this bloke says usually happens.
He came up with some corkers last year.
1   He reported that Ben Cousins going to Collingwood was a "done deal" (june)
2   He argued with Glen Jackovich for almost an hour that WAFL team Subiaco would beat WCE.Later that afternoon Eagles rolled the saints.(august)

I cant wait to ring him md season when we are entrenched in the 8 and remind him of his pre season prediction
