Gary March on SEN
« on: February 05, 2009, 08:08:33 AM »
March was on SEN at 7.30am:

* Told supporters there's not a lot of parking at Gosch's paddock so he's encouraging everyone to catch public transport with Richmond station nearby as well as the tram along Swan St.

* Definitely no friction between himself and Plough. He had a meeting with Terry at the end of the season and he told Terry what the expectations for 2009 are [ie. make the top 8]. There'll be no mention or comment from the Club about Wallace's contract from now on.

* We're looking now at achieving 35,000 ticketed members. Getting Cousins along with our strong finish to 2008 has boosted membership sales.

* We are very close to signing up Luxbet as our new major sponsor. He said signing one up has been difficult with the current financial circumstances.

* Polak making his comeback today is great. He's made a deal of progress since Christmas and he's not getting as tired as he used to when doing any sort of physical exertion. Back in November he would get very tired and went backwards a little. He still has a long way to go though.

;D

Rookies can play preseason games so either way he still would've been able to play at this time of the year. It's during the H/A season where the difference will show. If Polly is put on the LTIL then he can't play at all even for Coburg; if he was a rookie though then he still could play for the Burgers if we wanted to try him out in a competitive game against real opposition.

I was more thinking of the regular season, mt. If polly is running around at intra club he will be a show for the early rounds.
