First and foremost I feel sorry for us, the supporters.
Coaches, players, admin come and go, we deal with it longer than any one of them.
We are the Richmond football clubas much as anyone representing it at the present time.

That said I have sympathy for Wallace as a person, not for a second do I beleive the total crap that some go on with.
I don't believe he came just for the money, I truely believe he came for the challenge of trying to help this great club and believe his sincerity in what he says.

Coaching as some mentioned wouldn't be an easy job and if you had a choice the way the media and the supporters carry on you would put Richmond down the list, that's for sure. So Kuedos to terry for picking us in that instance also.
If the last half of the year can see significant improvement under Wallace, I think it will. I say give him a 1 year deal, even if only for the sole reason of stabilising the place and people perceptions of the RFC.
Of course there will be divided opinion and I expect no less, but believe more good than harm could come from a move like this.

Yes I have done a backflip of sorts as I have stated Finals or bust, but this absolute hysteria has got me thinking what's the point of change just for the sake of change.
That is obviously baswed on the last half of the season mind you.

You need to check your history.

TW picked us only after the sydney job (that he had been promised) went to Paul Roos.

It certainly will be interesting to see what he does when he is told next year he will not be at Richmond.

A real test of his character. If he walks he has none, if he stays he will be showing something that I haven't seen yet.

The only ones suffering will be the players in the future saying they wished they could have played in a premiership which every footballer craves. The Richmond players not playing for the coach, the pride of the jumper for which is the club & the supporters will be a blight on them forever. l got a feeling we will see the real Richmond football club playing this weekend.

I think we're at a very similar stage now as Hawthorn actually was in 2004.

Yes we are.

mmmm

We are actually ahead of where hawthorn were in 2004 as far as young A and B grade talent,

but, thats when pelchen came over and dunstall took the raines and the new ceo started and they got very lucky with buddy and roughead.

You guys are dreaming if you think rfc can repeat the time line of the hawks success.

The review of the footbal department will give us a few clues as to if indeed we are serious in changing the fortunes of this once proud great club,

just on the topic of wallace, I am quite pleased to see that he actually cares,

pity it took 5 years for him to drop his guard.

It will be interesting to see how the players respond this week. If Terry has come accross as sincere I expect us to win, if terry has lost the players and has come accross as selfish I expect another gaspergate performance and a nice BIG PUMPING.

TBH I expect a pumping

You need to check your history  ;D

Wallace left Bulldogs end 2002 thinking he had the Sydney coaching job but Paul Roos was wanted by the players
Wallace went into the media
he applied for the Richmond coaching job after Richmond approached him in 2004 & started coaching in 2005

Now thats history  ;D

I certainly feel for his family, especially his kids. It isn't their fault what's happened

I DONT SEE ANYONE  blaming his wife and kids or targeting them. if ppl do do that they are simply morons.  but his wife must now know she may cop stuff like your husband is a liar, becaus ehe is, it has been proven over the past few days.

on 3aw last week he said he would walk if he feels he has lost the group.... well?
Just because no none is blaming his wife or kids doesnt mean that they dont feel the pain that this has done to a very important person in their life. The media never seem to care about the effects they have on others involved. Bad analogy coming up so excuse me.............Matty Johns?

wtf r u talking about , wallace actually cares!!! for whom, himself or the team.

what he actually did was drop his guard and expose what we all knew, THAT HE ONLY CARES FOR HIMSELF AND HIS CAREER!!!

wake up blaisee, you must be terrys love child, lover or both!

just accept the fact that he has failed and is a liar, so much for saying last week he will walk if he knows he has lost the players...well???

one/ matty johns did nothing wrong, the only person who can judge him is his wife and no one else

two/  who cares about how terry or his family feels, what about all us suffering true real rfc supporters , not pretenders like him

he said he had unfinished business at theclub when he was made coach, he was out to destroy us, not rebuild us!!!

we r worse off now than b4. thanx terry, unfinished business , bs

Matty Johns did nothing legally wrong.
Morally wrong is a whole other issue.

one/  the only person who can judge him is his wife and no one else

and his former team mates and his friends and all of his viewing public on a Thurs night

Wallace actually cares about the club
his got the option to walkout with a full wallet  ;D but has unfinished buisness
l think you see some players giving a bigger effort as the public & media are aware & watching them closely
