Laid 6 tackles tonight, wasn't all bad.
Was huge in the last quarter.

Dusty might as well sign the contract today
Wasn't going anywhere 5 weeks ago

Seen it at least three times tonight in that Dusty is putting no defensive pressure on whatsoever, is slowly jogging along behind them

Looked shocking at some points.
Don't get me wrong he was huge in the end but the way he stands off contests once the ball has gone past is pathetic.
Looked like a bloke with a sore groin.

Yep. Definitely not moving like he was in the first 3 rounds.

Continues on with his tackles for too long as well trying to bury opponents. Thought he was lucky not to give away a couple frees last night.

On one hand talking up Houli, and on the other bagging Martin.

Martin clearly on par with Rance as our best players.

Must keep.

That must put him above criticism right?

My thoughts as well, looked over the moon. Can't possibly see him leaving for $100k/year after tax...

Hardwick tips top Dusty response

richmondfc.com.au
5 May 2017

Richmond coach Damien Hardwick has refuted suggestions that star Tiger midfielder Dustin Martin’s form has tapered off slightly because he’s still nursing a groin injury.

Martin was in dominant form throughout the opening four rounds of the season, but hasn’t been quite as influential since it was revealed he had a minor groin complaint leading into the Round 5 Anzac Day Eve clash with Melbourne.

Hardwick, however, believes Martin is ready to rebound strongly in this Saturday night’s encounter with Western Bulldogs under the Etihad Stadium roof.

“That groin was probably a one-week thing,” Hardwick said.

“We’ve got incredibly high standards of Dustin . . .

“I think if we look at his game (v Adelaide last Sunday), if that was someone else, it’d still be a pretty good game,” Hardwick said.

“Was he as vibrant as he could have been? Probably not . . . off a six-day break (playing) interstate.

“His standards are so high and our level of expectation as a footy club and from a media perspective, are very high as well.

“He’s probably been a little bit off his best, but he’s still contributed, there’s no doubt about that . . .

“He prepares really well, and we’re really confident he’ll have a great game this week.”

Against Melbourne he was awesome. WTF is he on about?
32 and 6 tackles is very good in anyone's language.

Disposal efficiency was the knock. I think he went at 38%
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

He was also very ordinary chasing Melbourne players. Was a couple of steps away from the opposition and didn't even run to pressure on more than one occasion....
