Gary Ablett Snr left Hawthorn very early on and wasn't anywhere near the big player with them.

His career is irrelevant to this story

LOL - Not happening.  We don't need more fringe players in Florent and a small forward that can't kick goals away from the SCG.

Its Logan McDonald or they can pee off.

West C got pick 3 and Josh Kennedy for Juddabars

Judd was 5 years younger than dusty to be fair. But I agree I’m not too interested in that trade.

Tom Greene is the trade. Has to be a 3 way trade. Releases money in GWS salary cap to keep Taranto and Hopper. Swans can give something to GWS or Dusty can move there (if he wants to move).

Think Schwatta for Shannon Grant.

Case closed.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

I actually think that's a decent trade, especially if they're paying Dusty's full $1.3kk

yep greene or nothing. Does papley win games outside the SCG? who knows

IMV dusty leaves. (80/20) Ralph Carr is a very smart business guy and if dusty was my client i would be instructing him to think about his future earnings which would soar in the harbour city.

Carr is a very shrewd operator and would 100% be thinking about his future earnings. That’s why between them, they own half of Richmond’s commercial property.

Also I suspect that the endorsements Dusty has (Bonds as an example) are probably my worth more in the Victorian market than the NSW market.

Not sure if that’s enough to stay however, and that’s also not to say addition all commercial opportunities don’t exist further north.

yep one of the best there is IMO. If its about his profile and building that up along with getting out of Melbourne :shh then he is gone. Dusty's legacy will not change just like it didnt for hodgy.

Yes they have been building up nicely. I recently went to an engagement and the whole building was owned by both of them.

Hardwick was not interested in talking about Martin’s links to a move to Sydney.

“We’ve got him, and we want him to stay, end of story,” he said.

It’s like 2017 all over again with the north rumours. Atleast this time we’ve got him signed up for another couple of years.

Barrett in his Sliding Doors column today.

IF ...
Dusty will be in the yellow and black on Friday night at the SCG ...

THEN ...
he might be in the red and white the next time he plays at the venue. Dusty v Buddy in round 11, 2022. Not beyond the realms the two will be teammates in round one next year.
