If CCJ wants to leave then so be it  - we should be looking at what we can get while he still has a year to run on his contract ( there's a very good chance Adelaide will finish last again next year so if decides to go to the PSD they can jump straight on him and we'll get nothing) but doing it just to get Crouch would be downright idiotic....same goes for Graham...Adelaide have better things to offer than an overrated, overpriced injury prone restricted free agent that we really shouldn't even have to trade for anyway .....

Can't let CCJ leave. Should end up a very powerful forward/ruck. He is already a fantastic contested mark and his kicking is sound. Must keep!

Marc McGowan looks at seven rival players with South Australian roots who might appeal to a rebuilding Adelaide.

Callum Coleman-Jones (Richmond)

The top-20 draftee is in his third season as a Tiger and developing nicely as a 200cm ruck-forward. It's tough to break into Richmond's senior side at either position, with competition from Tom Lynch, Jack Riewoldt, Ivan Soldo, Toby Nankervis and Mabior Chol. Coleman-Jones has multiple rival clubs tracking his progress and he'd be an intriguing addition for the Crows. They could do with more ruck depth, but already have emerging forwards Elliott Himmelberg – who's showing good signs this season – and Darcy Fogarty. Himmelberg is serving as Adelaide's back-up ruckman to Reilly O'Brien, while Billy Frampton was recruited from the Power to compete for that role as well.

Played in the Tigers' 2017 premiership in just his fifth game and would have doubled up last year if not for a shoulder dislocation in the preliminary final. It's been tougher for Graham this season and he's currently out of the team after being dropped for a second time. Has spent time on a wing in 2020, but can also play as an inside midfielder or across half-forward – he has four multiple-goal matches – so that positional flexibility helps his value. Richmond's been willing to offload its depth players in recent seasons, so it wouldn't be a shock if Graham left for greater security. Developing in the Tigers' successful environment adds extra sheen.

He's not some dime a dozen flanker. We risked a decent 2nd rounder to draft him when he was a raw teen. He's worth a top 1st rounder now. Other clubs would kill to have him as his type & talent are hard to find.

This year's draft is heavily compromised too so picks are worth less than usual. If Adelaide want him then pay up.

Yeah we're not getting a first rounder for a kid who went at pick 20 three years ago and has only played one game of AFL so far, regardless of potential or position...
