Good ordinary player as the great Jack Dyer used to say.  Maric would be an improvement on what we have but lets be honest hes not a top ruckman and being better than Gus or Browne wouldnt be too hard. This type of recruitment doesnt help clubs move towards winning a flag, all it is is covering a problem with a band aid.

Yes I did although he basically came for free. I was also against Grigg coming to Richmond. Richmond needs to recruit higher quality players IMHO. Lets see how it all works out over the next 3 or 4 years hey!

don't disagree with that Ramps, but when it comes to pinching them from other clubs, it's easier said than done.

Quality players changing clubs really doesn't happen that often, particularly proven ones

a couple of threads regarding maric on the crows board on BF make interesting reading.

There doesnt appear to be too many knocks on the bloke at all. He has a real dip and doesnt need to have "go all in" drilled into him resulting in a drunken mumbling of it at midnight.

From report he is a good kick, with one poster claiming he is the best shot for goal from 30-40m at the club

Overall there is a lot of respect for him on the board.

He may not necessarily be a champ,  probably a very solid player, but importantly one with the right character.

Ok, what is this Maric like, are we picking up a very good player or another average player...

I have the mail, this guy is a DUD, slow, makes poor decisions, cannot kick, Should fit in well at Richmond.
Probably the decision was made buy the same RFC person who
took Fiora over Pavlich, Tambling over Buddy, Made the decision to take McMahon so we didn't get Callum Ward, same bloke also decided to trade Jason Torney and Stew Maxfield.
Seriously, this is a real bad decision.

If you can reach the Glenfiddich at the bottle-o then you are tall enough to be a servicable Ruckman. If you can successfully run away from the cops with a bottle of stolen Glenfiddich under your arm, then you are a Ruckman which will be highly sought after.
