Proving he has great work ethic. Training for both Altone and RFC. That's dedication and he should have been given 3 years by Craig Cameron. I think Craig thought about it but Posty wanted to retire

If it looks like a duck, quacks like one, then I,m pretty sure it's CC breaking wind

Al Paton ‏@al_superfooty twitter:

"Axed Tiger Jayden Post has signed with Altona in the Western Region Footy League. Didn't nominate for the #AFL draft"

Everything you need to know is in that sentence.

Well there you go

I actually thought the club should've given him a year but that sentence as you say says it all

It reeks of weak ticker and a bloke who doesn't really want to play in the big league

Good luck to him anyway we move on

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

Perhaps but I would think the article on the previous page from the local Leader quoting Altona's coach would mean it's true

Must have had enough of training hard for little reward

Terrific, just terrific TM  ::)

True but in this case, that quote was retweeded by Post himself.

He was given games and opportunity. What more reward does he require?

Not the RFC's fault if he was either not good enough or not willing to grasp his chance once it was presented.

If he wanted more money then he needed to to the hard work to begin with.

Kid's like Cotch and Lids are very talented and appear to be given more and get things easier than say a less talented Matt White or Jayden Post. Make no mistake though, Cotch and Lids have worked very hard to get to where they are.

If it is that Post was simply not good enough then I'm sorry for him but that's life really. He was good enough to get on an AFL list, something most of us will never be.

The problem was pretty much all his games were near the end of each season. Not a confidence builder.

Another pre-dimma draft mistake. Couldn't believe it when they called out his name and not McKernan's.

No it wasn't.  The problem was he wasn't good enough for a number of reasons.  Every other club knew and he knew it, hence no trade and no draft nomination.  In life every person will rise until they find their own level of mediocrity and Post found his at the top level of football.  He wasn't the first and he certainly won't be the last.

I'm not sure it can be classed as a mistake just yet......Post has played twice as many games and you couldn't say McKernan is exactly setting the world on fire ;D

Good post. Couldn't agree more. The excuses made for Post ring hollow.

Alot of his 30 games were in the second half of the season...but last year his first game was round 1.  he was torn to shreds.  carlton had hampson (from memory) on him and continually went to him or whoever was playing on Post as their avenue to goal.

It was not surprising to see him banished to coburg.

At the end of the year he was serviceable without being stellar but that was cos grimes was out injured.

It is a shame cos he came to us with big wraps on his marking.

I remember him running up the wing in one of his first games...looked great...think he stuffed the kick though

Good luck Jayden...
