I suspect WC would avoid wanting to trade pick no 8.... Either  lycett or gaff come into play as direct swaps. Lycett would need r2 thrown in or a trade up of ours..to sweeten the deal as he has done stuff all until last month of season where he looked good

The Tigers are also interested in securing a back-up ruckman for Ivan Maric.

Talking about stating the obvious  ;D

Just a question to fellow OERites - any interest in Jeremy Laidler? Strong body defender?

I think he is worth a punt as long as the knee he completely wrecked has been sorted out. An upgrade on Petterd.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Rookie him and see how he comes up.

Good 3rd tall option down back, I'd look at him for sure.

Re-signed mid year daniel for 3 years

Think itis fair to say he isn't going anywhere

You can still trade contracted players can't you? (Although I agree he won't be going anywhere just double checking)

cheers WP

i find it strange we would do that to be honest

He wasnt exactly going anywhere and would've been real handy right about now in dealings with GWS.

Contracted players are totally tradable

If their contracts aren't too $$$ it is actually better to trade a contracted player than an uncontracted one – you get better value at the trade table because there is no threat of the player going into the draft

Like all trades, the player has to agree

True but the re-signed him mid year when he was in reasonable form, reckon his last 6 or so weeks were average, which was after the contract extension.

Actually think he ran out of "puff" fitness wise as the year went on which didn't help. But considering how far back he was coming from missing nearly 12 months of footy it isnt a great surprise either
