gee i hope thats skata or the Pies win out yet again.

I dont believe melbourne would entertain that given the afl have a say in what they do.

after the dawes debacle can they be that dumb to hand them another top 20 pick
Isn't Shaw a free agent?

No. His under contract(2 years left i think) so a trade needs to be made

i fear they would offer up a first rounder for Shaw, landing the Pies Adams.

The dees have history in getting outplayed at the trade table.

Melbourne is also keen on Shaw but might have to hand over pick No. 2 to the Pies in a swap of their first round selections in this year’s draft. In return, the Demons would receive Shaw and the Pies’ first selection, pick No. 10.

Any player Collingwood don't want the melbourne demons hand over their 1st pick for. Dawes now Shaw.

Soon to be 28 year old Shaw, for pick 2

They would have to be the biggest fools if they were to entertain that

Ok, so I have been talking with my co-worker. His son plays VFL and is friends with some AFL players.

......

So anyway, today he tells me some top secret goss, he says Richmond might get a good player in the trade period, I say 'Adams', he says no, 'Alex Conti'.  :huh

I must have given him a look, because he says 'you know Alex Conti, from Freo, he's playing this weekend'.  :huh

An update on our chase for Alex Conti.

He apparently played on Saturday in the Grand Final, but if you check the team sheets, his name is nowhere to be seen.

He was out there though, number 20 (who is Viv Michie  :lol) and had a bandage on his head (Lee Spurr #34)  :lol

I think this sauce has been left in the sun for too long  :rollin

Is there one person ultimately in charge of our list management?

No, we have a list management committee made up of Richardson, Hardwick, Hartley and a couple of others (perhaps Jackson). Contrary to what people think Benny Gale is NOT on the list management committee

But end of the day when it is all said and done Dan Richardson is the head of the footy department so I suppose you could argue he has the final say but any decision he makes can be vetoed by the Board

Thanks for the info, I guess that committee also analyses where we are going, how much we are paying, how long to offer players on their contracts, dealing with p[layers agents, where we sit on our salary cap, how much money we have in case we want to pick up a player etc.
Another question. Once a players contract is signed then that fee is fixed? ie it is fixed for the term of that contract and can only be altered if there are over riding clauses such as performance based bonuses/non performance reductions or bad boy get-out clauses?

Roo Luke Delaney's manager Greg Size says St Kilda have offered him a three-year deal. Spoken to three different clubs: St Kilda, Carlton and Brisbane - with the Saints his preference.

Freo the likely destination for Hawk Xavier Ellis. Two year deal.  Ellis hasn't been offered a new contract by the Hawks & will depart. Clubs out west interested. Crows keen two yrs back.

Shane Casley - the manager of Hawk Max Bailey - has denied developing rumours Max has played his last game for the club.
