Nah it's rivalry round. What that means for Brisbane vs North who knows ???.
Brisbane Bears played North Melbourne in rd 1 1987 and the Brissie Lions played North in the other Prelim of 1999. 
Ah now there's proof of traditional rivals

The AFL obviously still hoping North end up on the Gold Coast lol.
Perhaps the AFL are regretting not merging Fitzroy and Northso to compensate they have scheduled them for rivalry round.

I remember Richmond being one of chief blockers of that merger. We didn't want to create a superteam in Melbourne and rightly so given North were reigning premiers at that time.
