I think a target of 10-14 is a bit of stretch Ramps - cannot see it happening with the draft talent pool the way it is

I reckon 8-10 is more realistic

This isn't about what everyone would like/wants

It has to be about what is realistic & achievable in the current climate

Can anyone confirm that Pettifer is officially gone as of today?

Haven't heard that one

Would think they would try to trade him first

Pettifer is a no brainer I would have thought

Polak - I'd keep for another year on a base contract with incentives. That he was able to get back and play AFL this season and the massive improvement he made in the last 10-12 weeks I reckon it is worth it

No place for sentiment in football.
You might find the club will be brutal

sentiment aside i think Polak still might come good.

Petrified no brainer. gone but Polak should be given another year.

His body is still fine remember and if his brain issues are all dealt with he will be an asset next year.

plenty should go before him, in fact at least 12 before Polak IMO

This thread should be a sticky so we can just list the terminated players.

Bye Polly, Bye Petts, Bi Raines (for pick), Bye Simmonds, Bi Jordy (for pick), Bi Shultz (for pick). Heeeeeello re-build!

Sentiment? There are plenty in front of Polly that should be shown the door!

Polly and Simo just might have some trade value as would Brown for very late draft picks especially if a club has no intention of using them.

Geelong never used the picks they got for King and Gardiner

Including rookies and rookie promotion(s) we should be able to turnover at least 10 players. Any trades for a decent picks would boost that number (eg: Raines for the Lions' pick 28).
