Dont' understand the decision not to play a ruckman or at least someone who had a vague idea on how to ruck

Maric had his best game and looked like the greatest ruckman of the last 20 years last night

I am not sure which I'd prefer to be honest making the finals and getting thumped by nearly 100 points or just not making the finals

At least they improved.  Knighter seems to be improving them, but he also seems to be constantly injuring them.  Theres a problem at Bomber land and its the game plan.

Next year is crunch time for Knighter and Essendon. They were simply lucky to make the finals with just 10 1/2 wins. To stay in the top 8 they're going to have to win a further 2 games and with Lovett wanting out and Lloyd potentially gone as well they're going to have to rely on younger players in key positions standing up consistently over 22 weeks to do it. Maybe they can but they could crash out just as well especially if they cop injuries.

Pretty ordinary game tonight for a final. The doggies' experience stood out as many of the younger Lions had a night to forget. The Saints shouldn't have too much trouble next week in their Prelim.

The mongrels pinch it with less than a minute to go. The Crows choke again in finals and again lose to the Pies. They should have had the game won by half-time but didn't put the Pies away when they had the run of the game.

Taking my anti-Pies hat off, they deserved the win. They found something after half time, a bit like us back in 95

Ill tell you who wont be sleeping well toinight. Bomber Thompson!!

It will be an absolute cracker of a game Cats/Pies.

The Crows threw it away. A couple of those points they kicked when they were five goals up were gimmee's and should have buried the Pies. They lairised a fair bit too in the second term.Being one man down in the second half didn't help on a hot night. Also that free they paid at the end, though to the absolute letter of the law was correct, was the kind of thing I've seen get overlooked to Richo too many times to count. Vey lucky indeed Collingwood. But their luck will run out next week. Go Cats!!!

As I said, I don't know what someone who loves Collingwood so much is doing with a Richmond non de plume posting on a Tiger forum. Absolute disgrace. I suppose you'd be putting money on Satan during the Apocalypse too.

Yes its a Tiger forum but aint you forgetting we are in the section VIEW FROM THE OUTER

l admire Collingwood for the way they blood thier players after they are drafted & dont use excuses like Richmond.
They play football that is worth watching as football in general. l dont barrack for them like half my household  ;D

They are loaded with country footballers from Gippsland Power. Leigh Brown, 2 x Pendlebury, Johnson, Thomas, & another l cant think at present.
All of them players are producing so thats saying something about thier development & about thier club, + how they bond & work for each other.

Now what really strikes me is that some of them players are carrying injuries yet they can still produce in games & hello they are playing finals & winning which is what football is all about.

How much l would like to see that happening at Richmond, Not just making the finals, But playing in them year after year & being seen as a powerful football club again.
