There is apparently a pressure point behind the ear called dokko although I reckon Judd is just using it as an excuse to avoid an eye gouging charge.

Having seen that it doesnt matter what he was trying to do. Looks as if a finger touched the eye and its not on no matter what he was trying to do. How cowardly. This is what needs to be removed from the game. I hope he gets 4 matches.

When do we find out if the MRP has charged him?

Judd got 3 weeks (2 weeks with an early plea) from the MRP

MRP said it was "unreasonable and unwarranted contact to the face"

Here's the actual report:

Chris Judd, Carlton, has been charged with a Level Three misconduct offence in that he made unreasonable and unnecessary contact to the face of Michael Rischitelli, Brisbane Lions, during the second quarter of the Second Elimination Final between Carlton and the Brisbane Lions, played at the Gabba on Saturday September 5, 2009.

In summary, he can accept a two-match sanction with an early plea.

The incident was assessed as intentional conduct (three points), low impact (one point) and high contact (two points). This is a total of six activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Three offence, drawing 325 demerit points and a three-match sanction. He has no existing good or bad record. An early plea reduces the sanction by 25 per cent to 243.75 points and a two-match sanction.

Not sure, l can only remember McKernan winning and not getting it
wouldnot suprise me if Judd won the brownlow or Dane Swan, Goodes, Black,
Something tells me Goodes or Swan

Please excuse my language (edit if you need to admin)
That is stuffing pee poor.
Head high contant while attempting a bump which is is the laws of the game gets a bigger penalty than one of the most cowardly gutless things anyone can do.
I used to have respect for Judd as a player (as much as i hated him playing for carlscum).  now i wouldnt pee on him if he was on fire. How could he show his face in public after doing that.
Infact i think its that low he should loose his brownlow medal for it.

The MRP having a bit each way. They couldn't let him off but if they went for a more serious charge I guess it could be challenged more easily.

As for the Brownlow I've got a feeling a Saint will win it - Dal Santo or Montagna. Daniel you were right - even if found guilty it doesn't effect Judd's Brownlow chances as the Brownlow only counts for the H/A season.

McKernan missed the rising star in 1994 for a tripping offence against the Weagles and the Brownlow in 1996 for an offence committed against the Cats in round 6 in the year Voss tied with Hird.
Chris Grant in round 7 1997 was suspended for a hit on Nick Holland and subsequently missed the Brownlow also in the first year Harvey won.

I for one am pleased he has been suspended. I thought four weeks would have been more of an appropriate punishment given his priors on Campbell Brown although he wasn't suspended then. I hope the suspension is not being served in the pre season comp but in next years Home and Away season. Low act to be honest.

I could be wrong but didn't they change the rule so carry-over suspensions have to served in the H/A season?

Judd will miss round 1 against us if we keep the season opener.

Apparently you can only serve time in the pre season if you commit the offence in the pre season.

Pretty sure they've stopped it to prevent players pulling an Alistair Lynch and losing the plot in the GF only to serve time in the Nab Cup.
