Does anyone remember why Fevola went at 38?

What were the knocks on him?

Not sure if you saw the photo of him swinging a dildo above his head last week but that is him at 28.

It was also him at 27.

At 26 he p155ed onto the window of a bar

At 23 he robbed a dry cleaner of a shirt.

Imagine what he got up at 16 or 17?

Who gives a stuff what he has done, he is a superstar and i could put up with his issues if he was kicking the RFC into the finals. 15 clubs made a mistake not drafting Fev. Fact!

 The reason he wasn't picked up early was because his attitude was questionable.
To his credit, he finally pulled himself together but not before he was nearly traded a few years ago, ironically to the Tigers.

For every Fev, there are dozens like him with the talent that they don't apply and end up on the scrap heap. Read:- Daniel Connors.

Yep, he's been so successful in getting that self-righteous group into the finals on a consistent basis hasn't he.

Like Lockett at St. Kilda in the early 90's, i don't think you can blame Fev for Carlton not being sucsessful throughout his career. Not sure on his states but he has been really good in a side that has been terrible for a long time like us.
Talk to me in a few years time and see if you can say the same thing.

In a shallow weak draft- especially for talls Temel has probably worked his way into the 3rd round. He will test poorly in my opinion for agility and he isnt an endurance athlete but he has the best pair of hands in the TAC and is a natural instinctive goalkicker.

Jake Carlisle played himself into a first round definate yesterday. He was able to match Butcher in all facets as well as being an attacking defender who started attacks. He also looked dangerous as a forward.

Big power forwards win you big matches.
Just look at this Prelim.
Saints have Riewoldt. Dogs don't have one. Hence in a low scoring game they had noone to kick multiple goals and take 12 marks and the Saints make the GF.

If Butcher is available get him. KPP do not grow on trees. We need him more than another midfielder right now. Hawks went with Roughhead and Franklin with their first few choices in 2004 and it bore fruit in 08. The top 10 looks like it will be all mids bar Butcher. If Melb go Scully and Trengove we need to go Butcher.

One of the papers today (I think it was the HUN) reckons Temel has become a smokie in the draft

Kicked 19 goals in the last 3 games after kicking 49.12 goals for the season

A question for those on here that watch a bit of these kids - is Butcher good enough to justify pick #3?  I only ask because he doesn't appear to have been setting the world on fire in his own age group recently and I wonder if he has enough 'development' in him to become a true long term key forward?
