They should trade him.

Not because of that stupid gesture, but because he is a big risk that will never have higher currency .

Why is he a big risk? Because of multiple unfounded internet rumours?  ;D

And if he is such a "big risk" then his currency wouldn't be that high

"Oh yes I am a dreamer, I still see us flying high!"

RISK players hold little value in clubs these days. You tow the line or say goodbye. Richmond have to be very careful managing players & how they pay them. They can shut their premiership window by having too many players who demand too much. Salary caps are tight when trying to win a premiership unless your helped by the AFL like most interstate clubs

Ok, so let's say they both want to go.

What could we expect to get?

When Roos was coach at Sydney they wanted Martin badly. Pick 2 from the Dees? I don't think he would slip to them in the PSD with the GWS lurking.

The GWS? Pick 10 and Adams. No chance of getting pick 1 from them. Maybe even Tyson and Adams?

Conca to West Coast? Pick 6 or player like Scott Selwood or Andrew Gaff.

Best case for me, besides them both staying, would be

In: Pick 2, Scott Selwood

Out: Conca, Martin

Pick 2 used on Boyd  :pray and pick ~11 on Taylor Adams

Final ins: Adams, Selwood and Boyd

We lose two mids but gain two ready made replacements and get the gun KPF of the draft.

You cant rely on draft picks to get you man, Other clubs are always lurking & pick 11 you may miss your man.

Gee whiz, I'd seriously consider Scooter for Conca. Both great players and Selwood is only 23.

Maybe the GWS option is the go?

10 and Adams, then we can trade for Longer and keep a first rounder.

Boyd will go pick 1 not pick 2.

If we want him we have to play seriously hard for him. Martin alone won't net us pick 1.

Martin and pick 12 for Adams and pick 1 possibly?

Conca for Selwood would be good IMO. Those Selwoods are very tough and he's a good player, better than his newly retired brother or the one that was delisted by Brisbane.

If Thomas goes they might have pick 10 and 11.

I'd take that and then ontrade them.

If he goes to colonwood he will be dead to me. Probably did the handcuffs to himself since going there is like a prison sentence in itself with Eddie Manure as the warden.

There is no way West Coast will trade Selwood. We would have to offer Cotchin for them to even consider it he is that loved down there. Would be more likely to get Shuey but even he is held in a very high regard here in the West and would be highly unlikely. If we were going to trade with them it would be Conca for their first rounder and possibly a trade of our second round picks.
