The correct thing now for Martin to do is to reopen negotiations with the club and sack Carr as a sign of good faith.

No the correct thing for Dusty to do is:

1/ deal with the Club directly
2/ sign a contract without his manager's interference
3/ and then at the presser announcing his re-signing at the Tigers sack the cretin in front of the media  :clapping

Have to disagree. He should not deal with the club directly. It should be through an agent so no allegations can be made of undue influence or coercion. He should immediately terminate the services of Carr and seek alternative representation.

Players are allowed to represent themselves

The only person who'd be claiming "undue influence and coercion" would be the person who's services have been terminated

And rgiht at the minute I don't think he has much support the in footy farternity  :rollin :rollin

This may not be finished folks

I'll bite. What do you mean?

Seriously I don't think it's over one way or another by a fair margin

Just nice to know the little stunt from yesterday has turned out the way it has  ;D

Not advisable to enter negotiations with player directly for a multitude of reasons.

Hope twitter feeds correct

To lose Martin would be as bad as it gets for this club, already embarrassed by losing to the Blues who finished 9th and now this..... :banghead

We will be a worse side if Martin goes, no doubting it, another stuffing Ottens story!

I have read some stupid pooh on this forum but this takes the biscuit. The RFC are not the enbarassed party here. Lmfaoooooo
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Oh, come on!

There are so many similarities between than what happened with Ottens it is uncanny.

Here, I will list them;
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

If he has re-signed IMO it's important we forgive his moment of indecision and accept him back warmly.

Give him every reason to love RFC and play hard for us then resign again later.
