He won't get traded

He should be traded.

One good game every 3 years doesn't cut it,  unless as some suggest you're T Cloke  :snidegrin

Thought he's played more okay games than bad, just no real good games

Some very short memories here. Last year at the start when Rance and Lids were out both Griff and Astbury were the shinning lights as improvers. In fact there was talk that Astbury would be leading  the B and f. Just getting back to that now. Keep for me.

Modify . I ment  2014 not last year.

yes we all recall rnds 1-10 in 2014, was very good no denying that. But why has it taken until rnd 15 2016 to finally show that type of form again? and you cant use injury as an excuse, has had a good run at it the last 12 months playing plenty of vfl/afl games. For mine  would need to play like this for the remiander of the season to survive the chop. Another injury and cut - cant have players taking 18 months to find their feet again, thats just crazy

Cause the moron coach dropped him all the time for his mate Chaplin year after year ...

Astbury has had some bad luck with injury and aggressive aquatic creatures yet you can hardly say he's been developed well. Like elton and McBean the long term planning is a shambles. Astbury getting towards his prime and we still don't know what we got , flirting to give him to leppa

... Almost 2017 and we are still looking for a full back , ruck , full forward let alone smalls

I Spose it's the fans fault - after all tey demanded a list full of list blockers that would scrap  into 8th rather than build or a flag which could have taken somewhat longer.

Given the lack of quality an quantity KPP on the list (I reckon astbury good forward option)- talk of getting rid of him is bizarre IMO
Then he grabbed two chopsticks and stuck them in his mouth , pretending to be a walrus

Its hard enough to come back from injury with  out those stuffing aggressive aquatic creatures attacking you at your recovery sessions.

 :lol
The possibility of physical and mental collapse is now very real. No sympathy for the Devil, keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride.

Prefer to keep him but has to continue playing good football for rest of year otherwise I think the club will get rid of him. Last year played good football in VFL but was kept out of the side by the decision of the club to play Chaplin regardless of form.

Been playing good football lately, look at his posessions
he didn't want to go last year when he was being pressured  so unlikely to want to go this year
He's a terrific fellow and to trade a player when he's coming good doesn't make sense
The only knock for me on Dave he takes a lot of time to recover from injuries and get his confidence back. When he gets his confidence up he even looks quicker

Off contract this year so he has no say on whether he stays. Club contorls whether he goes or stays (eg via delisitng)

Yes, a contract is an agreement between two parties , I think we'll of Dave and he's just starting to come good again but it doesn't matter what I think as in the end, as the club and Dave will come to an agreement or they won't.
