"I couldn't believe he grabbed it," Nason said. "I was so angry. He only pulled it because, you can't see it in the vision, but when we were setting up our zone he was running in front of me and I dropped him when he wasn't watching so he got up and pulled my hair."

Dimma would have been proud of that!  :lol

Great to see but too much of a gap goal wise between Riewoldt and the rest IMO. Lets hope Nason has a big pre-season, can't wait to see what he can do with a bit of musc on.

Don't want to see him bulk up too much. Players like Nason rely on avoiding/slipping tackles, not busting them.
Too much bulk and he will loose speed, agility and stamina.

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Is Nason eligible for rising star?

I believe some have been a little harsh on Benny Nason this year. He along with Edwards seem to of taken the mantle of 2011 whipping boys.

I thought he had a great game against the Lions. Kicked 2 crucial goals as the sub...what more could you ask for ?

I didn't think he'd done too much in the second and third quarters, but he contributed well in the last. His running made a difference and he was regularly presenting as an option.

I think we also have to remember that Nason did not have a full pre-season and we do tend to forget that when we have players that a underdone.

I would like to wait and see how he goes next after a good pre-season including a heavy gym program.

he worked into the game, I was critical of some of his early efforts in the night, he was alright in the finish...i still struggle to see him keeping MM out of the side though...we have enough smalls in King, Nahas and white that are well ahead...he is line ball with edwards although edwards best is prob better than nasons...he needs his A grade game ea week if he is to carve a longer term career

Played 1 decent qtr of footy in 2 weeks, longer going off Coburg reports. Goes to ground too easily a la Nahas (is that the Nahas of old?). Chimed in with two snags when needed but didn't do a whole lot else. A better effort but prefer The Helbig.
