We're going with a young kid in the PSD according to Paul Roos...Richmond have not nominated who they are after, but the club is widely expected to stick with a policy of selecting youth.
''You never absolutely know what is going to happen until it's over,'' Roos said yesterday. ''There is only one live pick before us with Melbourne taking Joel and Freo [taking] Adam McPhee, so it's really just Richmond, who say they are taking a young kid.
Immediately following the pre-season draft, the clubs will take part in the rookie draft, where the Swans have up to eight selections.
Among those picks they will take Irishman Chris McKaigue, and NSW scholarship holder Nathan Gordon, with another two talented youngsters, Sam Crichton and Dylan McNeil, also tipped to be selected.
