So with Patrick gone the Coast only have 4 picks left or did they select someone else leaving them 3 picks?

I would be tempted to take Grimes in the PSD and then Majak at first pick in the Rookie draft.

i think Gold Coast are taking K.Hunt with there 5th pick.

so the Gold Coast have 3 "live" picks.

are you sure it works like that?? or are these picks outside the rookie draft?  you know the afl, they are bending over so far for GC it's not funny.

I thought i had seen Hunt's name alongside one of their rookie draft picks in the lists going about. The territory is a gold coast priority pick zone for a few years, but what that actually means?
From the afl website;
Quote
Patrick joins the club as a Northern Territory priority pick, which enables the Gold Coast to keep their first five selections in Tuesday’s NAB AFL Rookie Draft.
http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/88022/default.aspx

So if that is correct the selection of Hunt has not even used up a rookie draft pick for them.

OK, looking at this article on the AFL website,
http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/88007/default.aspx
a number of clubs have rookie picks listed as locked in (nsw scholarships international etc) but no mention of Hunt been locked in as a selection for the Gold Coast, so it seems they do still have 5 rookie picks.

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

Wasn't Karmichael Hunt recruited under the 3-year non-registered rule?

If that was the case he can only be picked up as a rookie as Port are doing with Daniel Bass.

Perhaps being a Queenslander Hunt comes under the same rules as Patrick, a priority pick?

Former Roo Daniel Harris has signed a two-year deal with the Gold Coast and they will pick him up in the rookie draft.

Just as an aside Harris had trained with VFL club Coburg in recent weeks - with the view to become a playing assistant coach if he wasn't redrafted.

Discarded Crow Robert Shirley, 29, seems certain to cash in his second chance with the Gold Coast.

The 151-game midfield stopper is understood to be one of at least two mature-age players the Gold Coast will take with their first five picks in the rookie draft this week.

It is understood the Gold Coast wants players with AFL experience who can step into senior football.

I would like to draft Daniel Bradshaw in the Pre-Season Draft

Joking or what, he is in Sydney and has been since Brisbane tried to trade him, he has been wearing Swans clothing for the past 2 months and training with them. Not sure why you would bring this up... ??? ???

We're going with a young kid in the PSD according to Paul Roos...

Richmond have not nominated who they are after, but the club is widely expected to stick with a policy of selecting youth.

''You never absolutely know what is going to happen until it's over,'' Roos said yesterday. ''There is only one live pick before us with Melbourne taking Joel and Freo [taking] Adam McPhee, so it's really just Richmond, who say they are taking a young kid.

Immediately following the pre-season draft, the clubs will take part in the rookie draft, where the Swans have up to eight selections.

Among those picks they will take Irishman Chris McKaigue, and NSW scholarship holder Nathan Gordon, with another two talented youngsters, Sam Crichton and Dylan McNeil, also tipped to be selected.

Former Crow Robert Shirley has removed his named from the PSD and rookie draft pool and so has effectively retired.

Former Lion Scott Harding could be going to Port
