Got his men.

In Blair we trust.

Still needs Tyson for the trifecta then I reckon we can fork out some of the FTF for a gold statue at PRO

In defence of the A.Maric choice, it wasn't he wasn't the first choice he wanted, he wanted McCarthy I thought but Port snaffled him.

Different draft, probably would have been taken either way

A. Marci was a rookie. It was worth a shot as he was a highly rated youngster. What rookie did we miss out on that has gone on to stardom?

We were after McCarthy and plan B was O'Hanlon.

AMaric was not even a choice - he was like an afterthought for the rookie spots.

dom tyson 50/50

who else are we looking to trade
to trade in, or most definately who
are we going to trade out.

wonder if he has been scouring the lists
to see what other types he and club think
can add to our depth, swap of players and trade
picks.

have feeling we might not be finished just yet.

firstly let me say - I agree with you.  It was worth a shot.  In the NAB cup games he looked quite good.  Nice long kicks to advantage in the fwd line.  Good vision. Decent execution.
then the real stuff and he looked average to poor.

But to answer your question - Sam Gibson for north rookie pick 63 - Was an out and out star in my Dream Team.  Came in when Swan copped his 2 weeks suspension and held his spot in my DT Grand Final (Round 23) and got me a lazy 130 points (and teh win).  :cheers

Just as a further point on this, how does the next round of delistings operate in relation to Free Agency?
As I understand it, a club can pick up any delisted player without going to the draft.
Therefore surely all delistings must be completed before the Free Agency period closes in a week or is that where a second Free Agency period comes into play?

Is very relevant to this thread considering we are talking PSD and Rookies of the past who now would be free agents.

Edit: Just checked the AFL site.
5/10 - 26/10 = Trade Period
31/10 = List 1                 1/11 - 13/11 = FA (1) for delisted                  13/11 = Draft Nominations
15/11 = List 2                 22/11 = National Draft                                   23/11 - 28/11 = FA (2) for delisted
29/11 = List 3                 11/12 = PSD, Rookie Drafts

Interesting. Still a bit to go for Blair yet. Would seem we've picked over the current crop and await the next couple of deliveries after trades are done.
Also makes a bit more sense why our delistings were really preliminary. Big chance of more to come both in and out.

Hartley has done more for this football club than anyone I can think of in a long time.  Recruiting 6 AFL ready players for a keg of beer to a club thats been in the wilderness for 30 years.  Remarkable effort.  If only our other recruiters did a tenth as well.

A. Maric was probably forced upon him by Hardwick.  He loves midgets.

Hartley now building up a pretty good record since coming to Tigerland. Credit where's it due.

2010:
Grigg (trade for Collins)
Houli (freebie via PSD)

We also came out in front trading Tambling to Adelaide gaining in return pick 29 (2012 draft), pick 26 (Elton 2011) & pick 47 (Helbig 2010).

2011:
A.Maric (rookie) ...... bust
I. Maric (trade for pick 37)
Morris (moved one spot back in the draft)

2012:
Knights (free agent)
Chaplin (free agent)
