have to play 1on1 man on man footy from the start against Carlton.
Yep make them play accountable footy. I don't think we have much of a choice though. Opposition clubs have been able to shut us down fairly easily. It's only when a game has opened up and it's 1-on-1 do we start getting the ball moving effectively and supply our forwards properly to score.

Well I don't think they are going to deviate from the game plan until the players either get it or they get players in that can get it. So I think we will see a lot more games like today.

You will never win a game without several plans coming out of a backline & the option & timing of that play, we are shocking. Not knowing how to switch the play or hold the ball up & take time to scan your options.
That frustrated me big time as well TM. The concept of quickly going to the side where the space is coming out of defence and having a teammate or two upfield running into this space (spreading) to be the receiver seems a foreign concept to most of our players. Makes me  :banghead. Until we learn footy basics and can do them at pace and with urgency then we won't improve.

you got to play 1 on 1 football right from the start & stay playing 1 on 1 to learn how to compete & win the hard ball
tell me 1 game we have done this in as many years cause l cannot name one.
if the players maned up & forced teams to contest the  ball,  l'm sure we have players who are small & would recover quicker & win the ball
We cannot compete against teams when they are playing fast flowing football & playing 10 metres off your player as we are too small in size & weight
match ups were a joke at times
forward thrusts were laughable, l have never seen such a stupid game plan were your FF gets the ball on the centre wing to have no-one past the centre square to except it wafj

Cotch played according to WP but his name wasn't mention during the live call on the RFC site. Not sure how much gametime he had.

yes he did play.
you can have 5 Cotchins out there but the players are too small & are non thinkers.

Correct.
Where do we start.
Nahas, why on earth would you play him outside F 50, once sucked down the ground, he is easily push aside.
If he plays, he plays inside F50, VERY SIMPLE

Actually no I won't I would appreciate it because I can't understand what went so wrong in particular the last quater. Are we reading into the loss too much because it's a practice game or were we that bad??
