This gets talked about far to often in my opinion.
The works his backside off, is outspoken and looks to have leadership qualities.
He's 21 years and 4 months old.
Avg 2 goals a game with about an avg of 5 set shots; All in losing sides with extremely poor delivery; opponents W.B, Carl, Syd and Melb.
We have absolutely no KPP (apart from today in Astbury and Taylor) that have shown any sort of resemblance of a forward for our near and distance future.
Your trade Jack Riewoldt and its club suicide. Big call? No. We've been horrible at the trade table for years. Riewoldt has a possible 12 years as a Richmond forward left, and is a 200+ game player. You don't gamble a trade of that type of player for draft picks that could be half as good or twice as good. You wouldn't be stupid enough to take an older forward that is a higher quality and top load a list that is 5 years away. Trading for a younger teenage forward is the same gamble as a draft pick.
If there are 4 players on our list that are 100% untouchable it has to be Vickory and Riewoldt along with Cotchin and Martin. We could eventually replace midfielders but 200+ game KP players are something you just don't trade.
Not everyone is a Lance Franklin or Chris Judd. It is possible for players to become elite in the age bracket of 24-28.
For heavens sake do not trade Jack Riewoldt, and I don't care how bad his kicking or his develping comparisons are to the likes of Kurt Tippett.
Jack Riewoldt is already a better forward than.
Travis Cloke (2 yrs older) - Cloke maybe infront. But Cloke is no good and Jack will be streets better.
Josh Kennedy (1 yr older)
Ricky Petterd (6 months older)
Tom Lonergan (4 yrs older)
Justin Westhoff (2 yrs older)
Brent Staker (4 yrs older)
Ben Warren (6 months yonger)
Jay Schultz (4 yrs older)
Aaron Edwards (4 yrs older)
I'll stop there.
Jacks progress is going well, for #$%$ sake give him a chance. Yes it is a forum and we can talk about it, I'm talking about how ridiculous it is if it gets to a stage where its seriously spoken about.
