Ex Richmond Spuds
« on: April 25, 2010, 07:55:19 AM »
I thought we needed a thread devoted to our our ex-Richmond spuds when they show true colours for opposition teams.

My post today is for downhill skier Raines who when his team needed him to stand up sadly showed what he is made of.

On one occasion in the second quarter being the only player in the marking contest he misjudged the mark by one and a half meters.

My pick of the night was in the last though when he was under no pressure coming out of the back line and kicked an absolute mongrel even jacko would be hard pressed to beat.

Raines playing in defense for five games this year has made a huge eight tackles total.

i am more than happy we let go of Raines and Schulz but not Rodan and Ottens for peanuts.

Even after a knee Reco Rodan BOG and gee how he would be handy if he played for us, but then again he would probably be played as a tagger or the pocket if he played for us.:banghead :banghead
Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

So was Raines.
Indeed we shall see. I'll bet he's struggling by year's end.

ran 2nd in the rising star.
You never lose your ability.
Just bad coaches give them bad habits.
LOOK AT DAVE RODAN with a good coach.
Raines has played 4 good games and one average game

Shane Woewodin won a Brownlow medal.
Like I said, we'll see.

Losing Raines, Schulz, Ottens & Rodan were the right decisions at the time
Credit to some of those players going on to have some success at another club, but we don't miss any of them
